  1. you can say that again!! this modern stuff, aka bro country is just pop music in cowboy hats.
  2. id say just about anything they can go in , and feel safe will work as a breeding cave. at least for me, my plecos dont seem too picky.
  3. i have bunches of mopani, and the only time ive grown BBA is when ive run the lights for way too long. id doubt the mopani is directly responsible, but likely it did slightly alter the balance in the tank between lighting, and nutrients.
  4. should be neat. to be honest when i saw the thread title, my mind instantly went to 60's/70's giant old console tv!
  5. i see brown algae. try reaching in there and gently wiping it off with your fingers.
  6. i highly doubt the root tab is wasted. those gel caps are just like what people take as pills. within a minute or two they dissolve enough to release their contents, so your loach is more than likely just getting the capsule itself.
  7. i feed lightly twice a day, but whether once or twice, the key is to not over feed. feed them, and if they eat everything in a minute or two, give them a little more. if they dont eat it all in 5 minutes or so, reduce how much you are feeding.
  8. id say you are fine. 2 sponge filters, and everything else in the tank.. it has plenty of bacteria.
  9. they are crazy priced locally. when i got them , i did aquahuna as even with shipping was much cheaper.
  10. i dont think mold, likely some kind of fungus spore though.
  11. im no expert, but dont run tons of blue. blue light really seems to grow algae well.
  12. the used water probably didnt do much, but the sponge brought with it lots of good bacteria. if the water tests good, put the fish in.
  13. water changes should be super easy!
  14. looks like a bit of a crack. done some time ago. id just make sure there is some calcium source for it. other than that, not much you can do about it.
  15. ive not seen it done myself, but the tanks dont know which side is front or back.
  16. ive even had noticeable wear on mopani form them. it takes them a long time, but they remove wood.
  17. those are very cool looking fish!
  18. i believe Cory covered some of this in the last live stream. pretty sure he said that affiliate stores do not have to carry all the product line, just what they want.
  19. they do have long skinny 120's, but most are 48"x24x24.
