  1. Doesn't seem quite right to me I will tag @Colu
  2. Very Cool tank! 😀 I also love a white cloud scape. If you search some old thread your find some information on breeding white clouds it pretty easy.
  3. That yellow and black coloring he's developed on his finnage is beautiful, curios to know what is the specific name for this fish.
  4. Welcome to the forums! This is a great place to learn and people are great at helping each other out. First you're going to want to create a post in the disease section of the forum where it will receive the proper attention. When you post there don't forget to include the water parameters for both of your tanks and photos of all the sick livestock. Good luck and you are already doing great as a fish parent learning from mistakes.
  5. Those Daphnia eggs sound like a good idea now 😉
  6. Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy being here and learning from all the great folks. 😀
  7. I have loved reading this journal so far you have an engaging way of writing and inspire passion in the reader to keep our ecosystem's clear of invasive species. Keep up the good work 😀👍
  8. To breed mine I first want to shout out @whitecloudDynasty for his help but he advised two pairs of male and female together which I placed in a five gallon filled with spawning mops and some water lettuce as floaters. I kept them in the in the five gallon tank feeding baby brine heavily for about two days but otherwise leaving them alone to do their thing. After about two days almost three I removed the adults and returned them to my show tank. After close to week I was able to see the fry hiding amongst the water lettuce. I was prepared for the fry to be tiny but not that tiny once I saw them I feed microworms and repashy powder and then finally gave them baby brine shrimp. My fry are still growing but are so cute. I hope your project is successful and keep us updated on the progress.
  9. That is one beautiful pleco I love the orange color on the fins.
  10. No not something specific but I find photos helpful in case there is something to see not that there always is but who knows
  11. Do you have pictures of the pleco?
  12. Honestly that is what they should be called rolls off the tongue nicely and makes me smile
  13. I agree with the above comment but also a squeeze pump would only need to be squeezed until the water starts to flow through the tubing on its own. Three pumps on my pump is usually enough for me to get the water started.
  14. Looks like maybe a false julii corydora
  15. I mean your parameters would be great for certain softwater species like wild bettas or keeping Caridina shrimp if you wanted to go down those routes. For snails though those water parameter are not ideal crushed coral works or seachem equilibrium
  16. A more aggressive betta will pick on small shrimp and take out the shimplets however Amano shrimp do okay with more aggressive bettas because they are bigger than other ornamental shrimp. As you have experienced though it really come down to the personality of the betta if you are going to face a shrimp massacre or the species coexist.

    Betta Newbie

I agree with @Tony s a betta flaring every now and again is a good sign means their healthy but if they flaring all the time that could to lead to wearing themselves out. Follow what was suggested above as well as you could add some fake plants along the sides and back of the tank that could help as well.
  18. Wow that is quite the day glad you made it through
  19. Welcome to the forum glad to have you join us 😀 I be looking forward to seeing you around here.
  20. I agree with the assessment of the first plant the second plant looks similar to water wisteria but don't quote me on that
  21. I always appreciate when the fishkeeping hobby gives me an excuse to buy some new toy
  22. No I do not that was why I was curious what your experiences had been. Let me know when you get them I'd love to learn for you experiences 😀
