  1. Yeah I agree, Does anyone know how to find coryadoras sodalis? From the pictures I’ve seen it looks like the closest match. Are they hard to find ?
  2. These are my ‘true’ Juli catfish. As you can see they have a much shorter snout and a black marking covering the dorsal fin
  3. I bought these Cory catfish from Petco and they were supposed to be Juli Cory catfish, but they don’t look quite like the other Juli cories I bought from petsmart. He also don’t school at all with the other catfish, so what species actually is it?
  4. I have 3 honey gouramis in a 20 gallon tank and 4 coryadoras and 7 Kuhli loaches with about 20 Red Cherry shrimp. The honey gouramis are really gentle with the cherry shrimp and the shrimp get along really well with the Cories and Kuhlis, sharing the shrimp pellets for the most part. The only issue, which is very frustrating, is when I feed the aqueon herbivore algea wafers to the shrimp, the Gouramis constantly peck at the wafers making a mess and also spooking the shrimp. When I tried breaking the pellets up unto 5 or 6 pieces, the gouramis would just makes rounds pecking at each of the pieces. Is there any food that shrimp will like that doesn't draw so much interest from Gouramis ?
  5. Oh ok I see, that makes sense. Even though I am fairly new to the hobby I consider myself to be good with shrimp, I had them breeding in a 10 gallon with 8 neon tetras without even buying a special breeding pack. I have a lot of rock tumbles and caves, and the tank is moderately planted. Unfortunately my plants still need a few months to grow into the tank entirely though 😞 . So currently they spend most of their day hiding . So far they haven't showed any specific interest in hunting the shrimp besides startling them and nibbling on their algae wafers occasionally. In your experience is there any indication that this behavior would change when they reach their full size?
  6. Are my shrimp going to be ok for a few days until I figure out what to do? The gourami are still relatively small but I think we might have issues once they grow up.
  7. This was sold to me as trichogaster chuna (red honey gourami) from aqua Huna and I’ve seen some debate online of whether or not some of these fish are thicklipped or not. I have 2 of them in a 20G high tank with $60 dollars worth of cherry shrimp and I was completely banking on them being honey gouramis of the peaceful type that don’t get big.
