You can also stick moss to it to make it look nicer Mountain villages aren’t exactly known for global tastes on supermarket shelves, but I’m definitely going to try grow some moss on it! Minanora
I really look forward to your unboxing of the care package. It feels like it's been forever. I'm getting antsy and it's not even for me. 😂 I'm so excited for you! I wanna see what you get! How are the tiny cories doing?

itsfoxtail
Brian looks like a handsome gentleman! Can't wait to see what his lady friend looks like! I used to have two, but the current one was dominant and constantly harassed the other. Gave it to my uncle 😁. TheSwissAquarist
Before anyone asks: yesterday was very busy and I couldn't find a spare half hour to catch 2 emperor tetras out of a 65 gal. Forgive me!
TheSwissAquarist
Hey all, this journal is turning into a bit of a monologue (time zones!) but I’m pleased to announce that my family is taking in another 🙄 dog. Here it is: Its a rescue dog 🐶 from Bosnia who would supposedly be put down otherwise. Her name is up for grabs! ( @TeeJay)
Minanora
Aww! So cute! She looks very calm and timid. It's hard to think of a name when they are new. Kiri (keyree) is cute. Gigi or kiwi.

TheSwissAquarist
I just had a brainwave! Reverse Osmosis water = rainwater Rainwater = snow Therefore you can get free RO water (in the right climate) 24/7 all winter!

TheSwissAquarist
The coconut hut has arrived, along with (drum roll) some spider wood. I’ve never used spider wood before, and this is my first attempt at doing stuff with it. Also found out that the light on my empty 15 gal has burnt out *sigh* so I’ll add a new one to my Christmas wish list 😁. Today I checked the spawning mop I put in my 65 gal; no eggs! 😞 The emperor tetras are increasingly fat, but sadly that doesn’t seem to hamper their speed. Completely failed to catch anything apart from the most _stupid_ guppy ever!😂 On a final note, my LFS shift went well, but none of their Apisto Cacatuoides females had much body weight on them, and looked emanciated. Found this in the mountain while walking the dog this morning- try guessing what it is! Have a nice day and merry Christmas 🎄

TheSwissAquarist
Nice longish post today: I’ve spotted some more Endlers! Hiding around the place, and I guess there’s roughly 20 of them! The tank is starting to get overstocked, but none of the juveniles have reached maturity yet, so I’m in a bit of a pickle on that one🤷♂️. Presenting my eternal shame: my 20 gallon grow out eyesore: It currently has a swordtail female, some splash tetras, and an Apisto agassizii female. It looked great a couple of weeks ago…and then I went on a school camp for 5 days and left my dad a care sheet. Turns out he massively overfed the tank and constantly changed the light. If you want a job done well…😢. @Zenzo was a godsend when he said that I was getting a care package. This could be my second chance at fixing my ex-wonderful tank! We’ll see what’s in the package, and I’ll work on what I’ve got. Master plan: 1)The plants are gonna go through the Reverse Respiration treatment 2)The fish will be removed while the aquarium is drained 3) The substrate shall be changed from sand to gravel which I have bought from the Swiss equivalent of Home Depot. Rinsed of course 😝! 4) 3 sides of the tank shall be spray painted black, because I think the white wall behind is reflecting light back into the tank and therefore causes considerable algae growth. 5) Tank shall be refilled and cycled and have a Stone Age model light timer and auto-feeder, for a better balance. 6) @Cory showed some floating plant in his last vid which looked AMAZING and I really must get some. 7) Light shall be changed from ‘Juwel Novolux ‘ crap 💩 to a spare light I have at hand. All in all, I have something to do between Cmas and the new year!😂😁 Apart from that my future rescue dog 🐶 shall be picked up on the 17th (Xmas present 🎁😜) and my mum used her veto on the great names that you guys suggested. Her name shall be “Pippa”👍 On a final note, my Anubias has taken off in the last week in the 65 gal! Have a nice day!! 2
