    @Cory mentioned leaving the rocks in a fast flowing river, so that all the potential chemicals & pests leach out into there.

    In that case I'll keep all my snailets until my duckweed is no more; it's such a pain when it blocks the sink as soon as I try to wash my hands after tank maintenance!

    I'm dying to get my hands on some decent swords! All the ones at my LFS are either overpriced (not my fault), for lack of a better word: 'mangy' (not allowed to change a searingly bright light), just plain boring and titchy, or all of the above! Please excuse the rant 😏

    I finally managed to breed mine at 21C°, a fellow fish colleague mentioned to me at the local aquarium society that the eggs are less fertile at higher temperatures. Sadly the eggs got nommed by my BN pleco babies; but there's still hope! Bit of an old picture of the ones I got at my LFS:

    Try going near some mountain creeks, they usually have quartzite rocks in them. I went to an old mine the other day (iron ore?) and found some really nice rocks with fools gold enclosed in them => destined for the shrimp tank!

    Try: 1) Putting in some large hardscape to break up the line of sight...wood and such. 2) Give away the super aggressive fish.

    Hmmm....Apistos, Rams, maybe some Nannacara or some Angelfish (there's a cichlid theme here 😂) and maybe a group of really cool gouramis. Keep us posted on what you choose!
