  1. I had a smaller version in a 1.5 gallon snail pot, and the one thing to be aware of is the sponge is quite fine, so it clogs easily. @Cory made a good point with regards to coarser sponges needing less cleaning.
  2. I got some clams for Twinkle Toes and Ursula Flerken, and I accidentally broke one when digging it up, so I fed it to Ursula. Someone else got curious and tried to steal her lunch: She got fed up with the worm, ate it, and closed up for the day: And Lola had some opinionated neighbors regarding her new dwelling: Who, me? Yes, you!
  3. It could be. The tank only has <2 gallos of water in it (6 gallons filled half way but with lots of wood for the crabs). Given that it is inhabited by calcium lovers, I am not surprised. But, this is the ridiculously efficient Neo factory, so I am perplexed that they would thrive in such conditions.
  4. Cleaned the canister filter, and added some crushed coral because this tank was registering everything at zero! 0 ammonia, 0 NO2, 0 NO3, pH 5.5, KH 0, GH 60, so added a few things during the water change to bring them back to normal. I have a sponge on the intake of the filter, and yet, when I opened the canister, more than 50 shrimplets of different sizes (3mm to 6mm) and colors were living in there! They got relocated to E-Schi's tank (pea puffer), and a couple of hours later the little pea was looking like a balloon! I could not see any of the blues, so maybe they are like M&Ms to him! 😵
  5. Doing some catching up and noticed some nice changes to the forum website. Thank you @Streetwise. @Cory, et al!
  6. Not sure I will intentionally remove anything, unless it does it on its own and goes into the sump. This tank is becoming my own version of The Mentaculus! This is the nursery, where all the berried shrimp hang out and gossip:
  7. Reaching parameter stability. No pictures, but Ursula Flerken is looking better, and she ate two shrimp tails yesterday. I have a new Aggregate anemone (from another split), bringing the total number of Aggregates to 23! Shrimp are multiplying too. Lots of molting, and the usual drama of this box.
  8. Probably because it looks like a cool little spaceship! 😍
  9. That they would do! 🤪 And they don't tire easily!
  10. Not enough reactions, but I love reading about everyone's great entries! 😍
  11. And that one is a good daddy carrying the eggs! 🤣 Her nickname on the forum is "Sexy Lips".
  12. I would not use unless you are doing an emergency removal of ammonia or meds.
  13. CG FX for film. I made you believe that what you saw was real. 😎
  14. Caught a flatworm in the V-Sump sock, and it kept trying to attack the camera. Not a happy critter, for sure!
  15. She doesn't move much, but her looks are what would get you close enough to her, and then, oops!
  16. My brain has been a bit too active lately, I admit. One of the things I have been pondering is which tank would be the most terrifying to swim in. Which one of your tanks would it be? - Pea Puffer - SW tank and Ursula Flerken
  17. I think in my case I have been the one "in training". He is still trying to get me to eat my vegetables but not getting far. 🤪
  18. Grub Pie. Most other fish like it as well. I make little silicone tray cubes (too lazy to follow @Guppysnail's method of making lollies). 🤪
  19. @Jennifer V, I feed mine Hikari Shrimp Cuisine, Crab Cuisine, and Repashy. They would eat my finger if they could, too. Little piggies!
  20. My Neo tank is 6 gallons filled half way, so a 3 gallon paludarium at best. Hundreds of Neos. Just out of curiosity, I tested water on Sunday during water changes, and the strip came out completely white! No signs of anything! Tested several times with different test kits. The tank had been depleted of nutrients, between the shrimp, snails, crabs, and plants. Had to add KH and GH and bring the pH up from 5-ish. Little things are still running around and breeding like crazy. Go figure... 🦐🦀🐌
  21. I just caught up with your entry, @KittenFishMom, and am so sorry you and your mum are going through this ordeal. Please know there are many of us that can offer support, and it was suggested above, don't hesitate to DM and ask for help. Caring for a sick person is exhausting, mentally, emotionally, physically. Do not forget to care for yourself. On the catfish and Persian rice, how could you go wrong with butter! Thinking of you, and hoping today is a good day. One day at a time. 😍
  22. I would just get a camera... no risk of leaks and can get into the darker places with a light. 🙃😎
