    Water storage totes 7 gallons a piece. One or two at a time depending on his mood. He is in good shape. 😍 I, on other hand, max out at 4 gallons!

    Well, it was bound to happen. I flooded the house with ocean water. As I now remember, it was quite the funny series of mishaps. My tank parameters where insanely off, so a water change was necessary. This meant hauling 28 gallons of seawater up the hill (courtesy of Mr. Peas) and do a major cleanup of the V-Sump. The spawning anemones are generating so much waste, and my BB is almost too efficient. You see, there are no plants in a SW tank to consume the NO3, so it stays there. Clumsy me knocked off the line from the V-Sump into the tank, causing all the incoming water to go on the floor. But not just the floor! It managed to splash into the UPS causing it scream and smoke. So, unplug everything, and remembering not to touch anything with wet hands. Mr. Peas comes over to see what is the cause of the smell, and knows me too well, so leaves the scene of the crime. He calmly went to get another UPS as a replacement. Lots of towels and a few loads of laundry later, the V-Sump is clean, the tank is back to normal, the critters did not notice a thing, and after a few adjustments we are up and running again. So thankful for cement floors! 🙃 Mr. Peas commented: After 30 years fo marriage, I get a mad scientist that has turned the whole house into a laboratory and plays with dangerous toys! - Well, he gets the garage! 🤪 Sorry, no photos. Too busy trying not to electrocute myself! 😵

    Ursula seems to be recovering from the aggressive anemone contact. She ate a hermie and went under for a day or so, and is looking better. The offender spawned nearby, and a little crab ate it all, so sure I was not watching him!

    Went to the Coop yesterday and had a great time! Mr. Peas and I made a whole outing out of it, and he finally met Murphy who was too self-absorbed and cute, then I was left by myself for quite a while. Did a lot of damage, of course. The best part is I got a girl for Ojitos, my sparkling gourami, and named her Puella. They have been swimming together and his colors are amazing. If Mr. Peas gets near the tank and Puella is nearby, Ojitos immediately gets in front and challenges him. Quite funny, and sweet. A knight in shining armor! Got a new tank because the little nano that lives in the shrimp room has been on my list of favorite tanks. She did an amazing job with the plants! Then got some wood, because, well, because. I am going to gift this tank to my son as a housewarming present. Played with the pea puffers, the Schoutedeni puffer, admired very beautiful plecos, and all the fish in the store. Everyone was incredibly helpful and quite cheerful. I wanted most of the fish in there! 😍 Thank you, Coop!

    You can use acrylic welding chemicals to fix it. Weld-On 4 is very thin and can get in the space that is showing the gap. Once that is done, you can caulk all the internal seams with Weld-On 40. Do not use silicone as it will not bind to the acrylic. I built my SW tank using both of those and it worked out great. It is almost 4 feet wide, made out of 1" acrylic. And no, I do not clean the diatoms because the critters get very unhappy if there are none to eat.

    Ouch! You have had what I would call an eventful week! I hope you heal quickly. I only drive manual transmission, so that would not be a good thing to have happen here, as @lefty o pointed out. Get the family to spoil you a bit! 🤪 Looking forward to seeing the jug experiment take shape, and thanks for sharing @Fish Folk!

    Indeed! Bad influence! 🤪 I agree that the limpets give it a SW feel. My limpets are always cleaning the glass from diatoms and are so much fun to watch. Busy little things!

    Spring is not stopping in this tank. The Aggregate anemones are also spawning, and I spotted the first berried shrimp! @Odd Duck would be happy to know there are little eyes!

    Filed taxes... Did WC in all the tanks, which took a while because my tap water was disgusting. Had to use two Poly Filter pads to clean it! Yuk! 😝
