    Bought a brand new Eheim heater for my 75g. Set it to 78 degrees and put it in my tank. Checked the temp 24 hours later and noticed the thermometer said 82. Went ahead and picked up a digital thermometer to confirm and sure enough it showed 82.3 degrees. Anyone else had a heater be off by 4 degrees out of the box? Is this normal? I set it to74 and am curious to see what the temp is when I get home.

    I got my package this morning. My vallisneria looks pretty beat up but am sure it will recover. The other plants are looking good. My Crypt Parva looks really healthy. Got a bonus Murphy sticker also!

    Just placed my second order with the COOP. I have my 75g up and running and am getting some plants for the first time. Excited to say the least.

    You could boil the coconut shell for peace of mind. I dont think it would cause it to fall apart or anything.

    It's just a personal preference or what you have room for. I personally like longer tanks over deeper tanks.

    There currently isnt a way to clear or delete all the notifications that I am aware of. I dont think they clear themselves either after so long. I think they are just there to hangout for now.

    Looking thru the Mod section I see that we have 6 total hidden posts and 0 deleted content for the whole site. It appears to be tracking for the entire history of the forum as well.

    The Alligator Gar are absolute monsters. The lighting in the tank is super dark however and I was unable to get any good pictures.

    Anybody know if Grapevine can go into your aquarium? I tried googling but the community seems to be split. I found a couple of really nice pieces on sale.

    My family and I recently visited the aquarium here in Oklahoma. I took a few pics. Could have taken a lot more but I am a terrible photographer and normally take shaky ones. The cichlid tank was packed. I cant remember what type of fish this one was but thought he looked super cool. Some kind of Pike maybe? I dont know. Always cool seeing a large Arowana and Red-Tailed Cat. Bonus albino Red-Eared Slider.

    Anybody have any recommendations on racks available to buy at Walmart or other retail stores that could be used to house several 5 1/2 or 10g tanks? Any good DIY resources?
