  1. I don't know if will mean anything to you, but it smells like cosmoline. I'll never forget that smell.
  2. I was going to make the same comment. I assumed flame retardant or preservative of some sort.
  3. I'll bet that no spot stuff does too. I'm in the hot water then dry for days camp.
  4. You are there my friend. And on here you'll be reading what people have actually experienced.
  5. This just popped up on my YouTube. I hadn't heard it in years.
  6. Not my favorite breakfast but one I've always wanted to try is the Full English Breakfast. I watch a lot of cooking shows and they're all over it. Although baked beans in the morning sounds a little iffy.
  7. Well here it is. $20 initial price put another $30 into it for stain, varnish and the protective cover. I took apart all of the joints that needed attention and reglued and recrewed. It's anchored to the wall with a piece of 1x3 fastened to the frame of the table and into a stud on the wall. The stuff on the top I bought from Joann craft store.
  8. Wallyworld special. Clean the glass with alcohol. It will take more than one coat to stop shrinking and cracking. It really shouldn't work at all but so far so good.
  9. The cheapest brush on stuff they have.
  10. If you are a car person and a Brian Johnson fan find a show called Cars That Rock. I think it's on the MotorTrend Channel now. He's a fun gentleman to watch outside of rock and roll too.
  11. One thing I would add. Don't just let the tank cycle let it get a little "seasoned" meaning get some algae and mulm going. Shrimp like that.

    Baby chicks

Before we moved to the city we kept a flock of Buff Orpintons for eggs. Every spring we would let a couple hatch out a clutch of eggs, great fun to watch the hens find bugs then cluck to the chicks to come and get it.
  13. Thanks for posting that, I had never checked my tap water for chlorine. When you said that I ran and got my shiny new test strips out and my chlorine isn't detectable either. I would think an occasional retest would be a good plan though. I'm glad that giant refill bottle of Fritz has a shelf life through July 2023.
  14. The super long roots are the part I'm worried about. The plant has been growing for over a year in a 40 breeder. I worry as much about the other plants as the one I'm removing. I guess I'll give it a go. Thanks for the encouragement.
  15. Has anyone ever removed a large well established sword plant? The AAAC (Aquarium Appearance Acceptance Committee, the Mrs.) has decided that two is too many and that corner of the tank is over crowed. She is correct of course. Has anyone ever taken out one this big?
  16. There is hope. https://www.aquariumcoop.com/collections/fish-medicine/products/fritz-expel-p
  17. I do feel a little silly fussing about a few bucks here and there (and haven't the last couple orders) but if I'm going to pay taxes I want them to benefit what they're supposed to. My zip defaults to an area similar to Sundance and Park City but with 20-40 acre lots $$$. I think they can pay for their own roads. I didn't realize what a weird mess the CoOp is dealing with.
  18. Thank you. You guys do a great job. I remember when the laws passed in Utah requiring taxes on internet sales, I didn't think much about how it would impact domestic retailers (mistaking believing someone had thought past "we want the money"). My first thought was the e-bay guys from faraway, I'm guessing it didn't impact them at all.
  19. So, first off @Candithank you for refunding the buck or so each time I place an order. And I know protocol is to handle this through customer service. But... we've done it over and over, maybe @Cory can help? I don't want to pay taxes to a city in the next valley. Zip code 84062 is not in Wasatch County nor is it in Wallsburg City (part of the angst is that Wallsburg is a Mountain Castle community full of the uber-rich). Hopefully my venting can get you some help. Is this an isolated thing or does your billing system have a problem?
  20. Like @lefty o said, let it ride. You think that stuff is bothersome wait until you get to the diatom algae stage 😉.
  21. Ask and you shall receive. I run mine this way most of the time. Now if we could have one that ran on air and doesn't have impellers that are always full of junk we'd have it made.
  22. Caught about a hundred cherry shrimp to take down to the LFS tomorrow after work. So... Aquarium Co-Op, in response to your email, no I don't need any help completing my order, I just needed some money. 😁
  23. Heavy metals don't just go away when another chemical is added. Nor does ammonia for that matter, it is just "binded" long enough to hope your biological filtration catches up. It would be interesting to know how heavy metals are "detoxified".
