We found Pebbles, which means the snail we found deceased was probably one of Pebbles' offspring. Or a sibling? Maybe they came in on plants?

Regardless, we found 2 Pebbles' sized snails, and moved them in with the MTS babies, zebra danio girls, and the blue guppy girls, as this tank seems to have the fewest predators.

I have no idea if I need to sex these, so will probably add more as my spouse finds them because my spouse was highly offended that the endlers were pecking at the "bat wings"

[Best image I could get with the "bat wings" extended. They are truly adorable to watch!]

It's almost like a really big wedge shaped pair of antennae... and make it look like the pond snails 'fly'

Pebbles decided to read over my shoulder

First, she gave me the shell

Then she decided to check the phone out

So... she had to get closer...

Then she had to get comfortable

And finally found a good spot to lower her batwings and beg for a scritch.

💜

I love your shots!  The yellow Apple snail up there, where did you get him because I can’t find that one in particular

Thanks! I got it from a local fish store here in Mexico.

My blue angel ogling bladder snails.  He didn't eat either of these, maybe because he already had one a couple of hours earlier, or maybe because he is a smart cichlid and leaves some to make more snacks for him.

This is literally one of the best photos of a pleco I've seen. Beautiful fish!

I think I have one other picture that is actually in focus.... but needless to say the blurry shot is a motivation to get more fry 🙂

Took a couple this afternoon while dosing some ferts. They're not super-hot great, but they get the job done. (They're also HUGE because my Nikon takes HUGE pictures, so I tried to shrink them down a little.)

DSC_1435-scaled.jpg.73d54f162ba18049fe0b0134e4c27fbb.jpg

A (I suspect male) yellow lab, patient enough to let me get in close.

DSC_1437-scaled.jpg.e5451b215fa93ea40405b9d7f14b9222.jpg

This Maingano cichlid likes hanging out in the mouth of this big dragon bubbler.

DSC_1438-scaled.jpg.817742411959f37f71e0b4edf8f2110d.jpg

A newer (~2 months ago) Maingano addition to the mbuna tank, this little one, one of three fish added at that time, was definitely the runt. I've got tons of hiding places in that tank, so it was able to survive until it felt confident enough to start snatching up food.

DSC_1439-scaled.jpg.efc7953b3180f1e8966aab1f9517832d.jpg

One of the other two newer additions to the tank, this is the now-larger of the two auratus added at the same time as the previous Maingano. This one immediately started going after food, and as a result it's more than twice the size of the Maingano, and almost half-again the size of the other auratus added at the same time. (I also have a BIG old auratus female in there, definitely the queen of the tank.)

DSC_1441-scaled.jpg.9996cd5e7ef191f86a2b4912c42ada56.jpg

A couple harlequin rasboras from the "sorority" tank. This tank has been dealing with some serious hair algae (and a recent outbreak of BBA too), so in general it's not terribly photogenic, but the fish always are.

DSC_1442-scaled.jpg.b75982261b385c08a9d066e735fe8541.jpg

And finally, a little cardinal tetra from the Rio Negro biotope. Everything in this tank moves so quickly, it's hard to get a good picture! This was about the best I could do.

I love the blurred foreground, and the little stand of hairgrass in sharp focus. Very nice perspective shot!

With no fish in the Scape tank, my ramshorns have the longest antennae tentacles I have ever seen on any of my snails!!!

I've only have my phone for 7 YEARS  before finding the camera's pro settings *facepalm* and could adjust the ISO. Might actually get to share my fast fish here one day!

There are worse things to find in your plants that a little rams horn like this one dutifully cleaning my crinum:

My new dwarf chain loaches are so quick that the SAE has a hard time keeping up! Really enjoying these little guys.

My Patient Spouse™ got me something so I can finally see the tiny things in my tanks... I still have to practice using it, because my focusing abilities are sad indeed🤣
