My crypts came premelted. 🙄. I don’t blame the company because the roots are phenomenal.  You can tell they were very healthy when shipped. I think the heat pack took its toll.  I planted what was left and all the roots we shall see if they grow. Each crypt was wrapped in rock wool so when unrolled there were 2-3 each…bonus.  DF85E8D7-68A4-4E89-A182-B3A8D3CC0CC1.jpeg.953801de1a2f2af932a35d07a137a647.jpeg5328EFBE-70E8-4C41-B436-378D87814B8E.jpeg.1b8aa6eb76452b8f8ca86e279ef48be7.jpegDFF254DE-D1BE-47C8-B1F8-185A64F00A15.jpeg.691e0dbfe09a6f78969a771b2e6e0725.jpeg09309AA2-1754-40A3-A282-E7B3CD766AFF.jpeg.942b7b9d9d746e4c01a0293c5912097e.jpeg3365BB23-D070-47A8-BCF7-B79762BB6D91.jpeg.27cb62b319c4b9152e74129b472eb2ea.jpeg0E7FD11F-2717-4DB4-92C2-30350493B2E9.jpeg.a32ba3a197eca6f2f98d86814ef5247a.jpeg19931365-B425-4D68-8B68-55949C0A0BEA.jpeg.372819824647d016c99529a035c9c71d.jpeg

I ordered 2 they were also rolled in rock wool. When I unrolled there are EIGHT Buce. 🎉WOOHOO🍾

I glued then to small rocks and sat them in tanks. Not 109% sure where I want them so when I figure that out I can plant the rock while leaving the rhizome and roots exposed889F6520-6E3A-4DC2-BE06-345E77344C6E.jpeg.a034537528aa40d3a5edeae60bddc28e.jpegD91B3B45-1FAD-4426-AF3D-2DB34E19582F.jpeg.80c6d6b9655773cf0e8e791ee6d69105.jpeg8250F5B0-7DBA-4E7B-80E0-F7C08E101412.jpeg.fab437a0326e71572db9f81b243281d4.jpeg4EA2E143-8DB7-40C0-B46A-A63191658FE5.jpeg.d898ebb449c38ce610cb22b8a776906f.jpeg1AF123B9-CC0C-494C-ABCB-D19C0E0EF02A.jpeg.bfe1e2ad0366d90f8cd4c84fb7cecdc2.jpegF3EB1FDB-182F-4921-BA55-DE941CEFE07D.jpeg.64de804711c1aecefa610d721b96869a.jpeg786E8686-931B-4A6C-9A12-AE531B88A19A.jpeg.e84f846343e6e20b7f0ed330da6f13d6.jpeg

The Barclays had detached from the bulb so I planted it and let the bulb sit in the tank. I tried to take a picture of the leaves I planted. They are suspiciously missing from the Magical Mystery Snail tank. 🙃

HAPPY ADVENTURES…TRY SOMETHING NEW

I love it! I wound up taking advantage of the sale.... 🤣 My crypts also came in a bit melty. I didn't order a heat pack but I live closer to their warehouse. It took two days for my shipment to get to me.

I love buce.... There are so many different types and they are all beautiful! I will add a few to mine again in a few months. Once everything stabilizes again.

Your haul was awesome! Tanks are looking amazing!

Tank 1 complete. Goal to have an entire overgrown jungle ROOM. That eventually reaches the ceiling because I never ever want to have to paint this room 🤣

I am still waiting on taller bamboo and red mangrove for the other tanks. When everything is done I’ll do a video walk through and roll the credits that go to all the fantastic folks on here I stole…I mean borrowed ideas from 🥰

I obviously overestimated the size of that TINY spider wood. Will need to run down taller to extend up the wall.
Tried time and again with that cord organizing thing to test it up and change things so cord organizing is not a me thing.  Hiding them with giant plants is SOOO a Guppysnail thing 👍🤣😁2E5A7CAB-C777-4354-92E4-CA1E4B27BAE6.jpeg.d86f7e6cd79d83f5a49e42f0ea8e7540.jpeg66ACC95A-3010-43E1-991D-252957BAD712.jpeg.2665e99f0e00f20187b546f5957548a5.jpeg

It was fun catching up on all the doings. I will definitely get the Pyrex out for my next Repashy making party.

Sad I missed the Buce plant sale. I have been in hospital land for the last 7 days and finally come up for air today.

Thanks for the joyful journal, really raised my spirits after a hellacious week of work!

Welcome back to nerm land 🤗. I’m sorry for your rough hospital week.

You are one lucky Guppysnail! :classic_biggrin: You are going to have an amazing jungle! I can't wait to see it all!

eBay. This lady lives 35 minutes from me.  She even gave me a free syngonium podophyllum baby already rooted. She was a super sweet lady. The white cotton is on top of the baby.

@Torrey no I have not had a chance to check out @JimmyGimbal but I will.

All this Riparium craze started last year when I joined the forum.  I seen @Isaac M tanks and HAD to have one of those instead of just boring old pothos.  I mean who doesn’t drool over his works of art. I had never seen anything so gorgeous and not being an internet surfer I did not know folks did such things. Then you mentioned Ripariums and I started plotting. Then @Odd Duck and her redo tank with the perfectly aligned lucky bamboo. Then @dasaltemelosguy thread on alternative nitrate reduction and emergents and his 7.5 FOOT tall lucky bamboo. 😍 Than you posted the huge dracaena plant and I knew I wanted everything to the ceiling. There were a few others on here.  I search each week on the forum for any mention of emergents or Riparium.  I also watched some Projectplant Life videos to see what he had success with.  Moving everything to the fishroom happened in November and now it is Spring so time to get my butt in gear on the jungle project.
My taller lucky bamboo for the 29 came last night.  The 18 inch is literally lost in the mail all week.  Tracking says picked up by post office and no further info all week was supposed to be here yesterday also ☹️
Torrey your journey was particularly inspiring and your coming to terms with natural occurrences and trying different way and partial ugf. Mom n dads ugf only goes across the back. Because they did not make one for a 40b that came kit and in 3 pieces so I could put it in without moving my fish.  I got the UGFs on all the tanks now so my roots can get oxygen which mean I can actually plant the plant in the substrate 😲

The moral of this…

My Riparium jungle is 100% dedicated to my forum friends.  Without you folks I would have never had the ideas and inspiration 😍🥰

PS If I did not mention your name because there were dozens and dozens…I PROMISE …I stole…I mean borrowed your ideas as well 🤗

I tried Anthurium for a while. Great, popping reds. Really beautiful and it grew well until the bamboo took over!  I must have too many stalks as they seem to starve out anything I've tried save pothos but the Anthurium grew well for months and were really pretty. This guy has a few in his discus tank:

@eatyourpeas I about fell out when I seen the price this year for 4 inch potted plants Some were $30 each.  I only got a few that were less expensive and looked on eBay to find someone close to me with more reasonable prices.

So true! The grocery store had a potted Begonia mix for $50! I am considering letting my weeds take over and have them provide the pretty green I want! 🤪

@Guppysnail wow, thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to me! Wow look at all those plants, I cannot wait to see how amazing this jungle is going to look a year from now. It is going to be impressive for sure. You are inspiring me to redo some of my riparian planters as well haha thank you for all your consistent updates, I always love to read them!
