My Snailtopia scrap scape is finally thriving with microfauna 🤩. I was watching it today with the magnifying glass and a bladder snail slid right up to a detritus worm and slurped it down like spaghetti 😋. I looked for rhabdocoela to seed this tank but have not been able to find them in my other tanks which is disconcerting because I usually can.

I love my ugly tanks they are such healthy tanks 🥰

Coop Nano pumps to the rescue…..again. Half way through putting the UGFs in the guppy girl grow out and panda tank power outage. The water is to low for even bubbles to escape from the ugf on the battery coop pumps. I had 2 of the nano sponges from the panda tank in the bucket. So I dropped one in each tank and broke out the nano pumps hooked to battery packs. My fish thank you again coop.

UGFs are in 6 tanks. Mom n dads and Snailtopia are still bare bottom.

Guppy girls lefty in the cave. I adore the way the algae is growing on that cave  F41ECBDA-23E0-4FD9-B312-34C307A29013.jpeg.1787ea9d1286d355a7d17b9db8976295.jpeg9B33E6FF-6E60-4282-B8DC-53F59BB2272A.jpeg.d2712a02a9f54bd65877ced5c2a11197.jpeg

Magical Mystery (snail) tank is under construction for a project but the UGF is in.

Guppy Community (ignore the wires and airlines and sponge behind the tree. I’m waiting on another coop pump. Right now I have nano pumps running things. The lines will be hid when the pump gets here.  My arm was not long enough to show the entire elodea and aponogeton that Was in there. The lily I took the big leaves off. To hard to work with. It is now growing 2 new bulbs. @AndreaW that is fantastic.  I find some of the “harder” plants to be easier and a lot of “easy” ones don’t do well.  I figure if I try a new plant the worst that will happen is I need to buy a different new plant. At least I got to see it in my tank for a little while. I keep trying new ones all the time. Some like my water and some don’t. The fun is in the adventure for me.

Aponogetons are the gateway drug to "harder plants" along with Cryptocorynes. We had a thread going on Aponogetons for awhile. You can really look deeply on the interwebs and find some crazy ones. I nearly spent my kids college fund on some I saw on eBay! Glad I didn't as I ended up finding some on a Facebook group for 500% cheaper! @AndreaWnext thing you know it will be stems and CO2! Enjoy the the new plants and the planted part of the hobby. It is a lot of fun and rewarding!

@GuppysnailI think you really embody a lot of the joy I have in aquatic gardening with such a deft green thumb. Seeing your work with your plants and tanks inspires all of use! I am terribly jealous of the Aponogeton crispus! I have a red varietal coming. I sure hope it takes off like that one!

that’s what I did with the one in the guppy boy tank. It’s stayed short for weeks now

I think mine might be about to make a break for the surface. I keep showing it my scissors so it’ll know who’s the boss 😁

Wanted to share my latest repashy wafer technique.  I do not always have time to do repashy on a stick. I was using mini silicone trays. PITA. The wafers always stuck together even frozen first when I put them in air tight packaging.  This is my second batch done this way and I love it.
Repashy  1 part boiling water 2 part.  I mix several flavors of repashy together it’s just easier for me and something for everyone.  Dump it in a glass dish and let setup in the fridge. 7C955196-724D-4337-A61B-BAF75A4B6CFC.jpeg.7048fc9f4ed4b4f62d6b8a7745131765.jpeg

I didn't get to take advantage of the sale. I could have saved like 30 dollars by waiting! Lol! Excited to see your haul come in!

UGF is in the 40B. 93D886C0-1EAA-44CE-A102-66C9C8728CCB.jpeg.bb98abaf62b94d04ef904c75afa4a425.jpeg   I had a quirk in one of the pumps I ordered so again my handy dandy nano pumps are temporarily running until the replacement arrives. I have 12 tetra whisper pumps and since the coop nano and regular they just seem like such a pain to use. I love Coop products ❤️  Mom n Dads redecorate went easily. Everyone seems to enjoy it.  The aponogeton roots had outgrown the pots. They were so dense they were hard and beginning to choke themselves. 4C559074-713C-45DA-B0B3-FE724D218CC3.jpeg.85198cb66e59887569bf8f0656654a17.jpegI wanted a different look so I just planted them. A91C17A0-8E48-415F-B044-8CBF468E0BC9.jpeg.873bbff26d616172c76464aee022aabe.jpeg
I finished planting so done with hands in the tank means my critters get yummies while I do water change to clear out the dust. The green bean (favorite) hit the dish and mom came looking. Under the right side of the log.  Dad immediately went to inspect his cave and clean it thoroughly before coming for a snack.  I love that my kids don’t get stressed about me in the tank. 2A464482-5C3E-491F-A8CF-77DF19AFF577.jpeg.13e8e1a600b98745b640b97572a71b7c.jpeg

Almost final product. New plants will be here soon I hope. I went crazy with the emergent order to redo the top of all the tanks and the plant sale ended before weather permitted shipping so I scaled back a bit to not demolish the budget.

I also bought 2 Peace lilies. I took them off the kitchen window ledge to rinse the roots. Hubby said he likes them on the window ledge and already ordered nice pots. Showed me the ones he had ordered.  For once he reappropriated a fish thing rather than the other way around. I’m good with that.

The one  ludwigia has too many roots midway but was not tall enough to cut yet.  When they are shorter they lose the pink I like so much. 6B722921-758B-4D89-B9FB-1E479A8F9110.jpeg.f130229dccd60ae9778166f27249cdeb.jpeg

This sword was one of the two tiny 3 leaved dying ones that became shaded by Aponogeton and tied to tight to the log. The other is the larger one in the little boy tank. I’m so please at how they recovered once I untied them and put them in better light.46EE038A-E99B-4262-A306-A8A1B60D3B40.jpeg.89c3f61b923a0b7b5a30856eaf9a7f3b.jpeg

I even built a shrimp cave with my old river stones. They are tiny terrorists but they are my tiny terrorists 🥰EB603AFD-4CAA-49E1-A91C-544BEFD31E6E.jpeg.95e76f61b834f0c03af73f11b4c1dbe6.jpeg

I originally ordered the 2 Buce blue sky for the front corners and the Barclays for a pot where the sword is before I decided to give the UGF a go for this tank. So I need to figure out where to put them now. The Echinodorus miracle I have no intended home I just really loved it 🤷‍♀️🤣

I have 5 Dwarf tiger lotus bulbs just sprouting to place about tanks for a deep red pop once they get leaves. I miss the red in the AR but losing the CPD to getting stuck in the hanging planter the AR was binned.  I regret that it would have been lovely as a floater in the Magical Mystery tank. I was to upset I should not have made that decision.
