Are these the ones from Costco? I have them running my two tanks.

Has been awhile since I last posted. Have done some minor changes with the stem plants and added some Brazilian pennywort along with dwarf water lettuce. Trimmed up the back plants so the floaters could be moved around with the additional air stone I added last week. Needed additional movement and air flow. Also, added a shrimp feeding tube to help keep the substrate clean and makes cleanup so much easier! The corys like to hang out in the dish. Their personal buffet.

I was having the same issue with my cories digging up the Easy root tabs. The guys at ACO recommended wrapping the tabs in plant weights and marking the location with pebbles. Works like a charm! Haven’t had any issues since

The Most Effective Treatments of Commonly-Posted Diseases
jasper5150 replied to Colu's topic in Diseases
Would you recommend dosing the tank with Ich-x and Maracyn even after the infected fish has died? Did a 30% water change after I removed the infected fish. -
That’s quite the score!

What do you do to maintain a quarantine tank?
jasper5150 replied to Paula Blanca's topic in General Discussion
I have a 20 gallon high and want to add a second sponge filter so it can be ready for a quarantine tank. Are the ACO sponge filters able to be stacked? Seems they should be. Should the air stone still be as close to the bullseye as possible or move it down a bit so both sponges are getting flow? -
Unfortunately, the little guy didn’t make it through the night😢. I’m going to assume the best thing to do is perform another water change and run a dosing of meds just to be sure none of the other fish have contracted the same thing?
-
Thank you so much for the advise. I’ll head out first thing in the morning for some aquarium salt and air stone. An additional air stone is also in my order with meds

Found one of my Cory’s with this white, fuzzy spot today. Has been resting and gulping air quite often. Have placed an order for Ich-X and Marycen. Hope it arrives in time. LFS didn’t have anything. Just did a 30% water change and cleaned sponge filter. Anything else I can do for the little guy?

Ideal turnover or flow for an powerhead operated undergravel filter?
jasper5150 replied to bela's topic in General Discussion
@Widgetsafter I asked, I remembered I hadn’t cleaned my sponge filter in quite some time. Able to squish quite a bit of debris out of it and adjust the Ziss air stone inside. The flow is very good now. I will be adding an additional sponge filter soon just for the reason you mentioned. I have watched the video you tagged. So many good tips and advice. Thank you for taking the time to answer! -
Ideal turnover or flow for an powerhead operated undergravel filter?
jasper5150 replied to bela's topic in General Discussion
This sounds like the place to ask this. I have a 20 gallon high with a sponge filter running. The flow in the tank seems to be pretty low. Lots of mulm on plants. How can I increase flow without using a HOB or power head? Maybe add an additional air stone/sponge filter to the opposite side of the tank? -
My Planted 10 Gallon Betta Tank Journey

Leave the floating plants. They suck up excess nutrients pretty well. Can always just scoop out a third so there is more room to propagate -

Hello!

Looking for any suggestions. The micro sword in this tank seems to be melting away. I have been dosing with easy green and checking my water consistently. Any idea what may be the cause/reason for this?
-
Days go by and I don’t see any sign of the shrimp. Then, I spot one out of the corner of my eye. I have added some Java moss to make some additional hideouts. Assuming they have found a comfortable spot to hang out. Did find a molting the other day.

Great looking tank. Look forward to seeing the plants grow
