@Beardedbillygoat1975 The CPD drama never ends. It’s just very soap opera where the intrigue intensifies to the season finale. This was this seasons finale. It’s much better than watching TV for me 🤣

It funny over the last 2 years as I’ve gotten deeper into the hobby (vast never ending rabbit hole) how much less I watch TV.  Even the YouTube videos, I am so far behind on ACO videos and live streams.
Your right the drama in all of our tanks is much more interesting!

I don`t have any drama in my tanks (I don`t think so 😕) however, I find myself watching less TV (I spend too much time here) and more time watching what goes on in the tanks. I only have guppies and a few shrimp, they are just fun to watch and some to do clean up. The few other fish I would like to find are ones that most would not care for.

Speaking of tanks almost time to turn on lights and see what's going on.

I did not think there was drama with shrimp either until my colony was well established. Now I’ve seen multiple males attach a female and all try to spawn together. The physical mating is neat to see. I love when all the boys buzz wildly about the tank when a female is ready to be fertilized. And of course the tiny terrorists constantly snacking on whatever grows on any other inhabitants stealing food and being a general nuisance to anything they cant eat 🤣. I am soooo tempted to get some of those amazing snails you have. If you ever get the chance for a close up picture of their face while they eat I would love to see it.

Nemo has a new home. Since Angel keeps the 29 sparkling clean I have been worried Nemo wasn’t getting enough to eat. This morning I was yet again frowning at the abundance of hair algae and others in my Stunted boys 10g. This is the only tank that consistently grows algae. Odd I don’t mind algae I think it’s cool looking but I’m pretty lousy at growing it 🤣. So I made an impulse move when I seen Nemo out and about today. He held onto his little piece of gravel while I carried him over and sat him at the source of a lot of algae. He is a happy camper 🥰 snails had a landscaping party in that tank last night 🙄

Oh my goodness what a cute dragon! I didn’t know they made harnesses for them. He looks so happy!

He used to love walking in the grass. My hubby threatened to get him a Superman cape when he found online they actually make dragon costume attire for every occasion.  Although I do allow my one cat who is always cold a sweater that he goes and stands on and cries when he is cold I would not torture my poor dragon with clothing.

Aww! I’m thinking of knitting my cat a sweater to see if it will help during her “outside time” during the winter. Right now “outside time” isn’t happening at all because she doesn’t want to go out. Which honestly is fine, because I don’t necessarily want to go out either 😅

She’s pretty good at letting me know what she does and doesn’t want, so I have confidence I will know if she doesn’t like the sweater. 😆

I wish my husband did that! I am trying to convince him to give away all the ugly sweaters I have knitted for him, and to let me replace them, now that I am a better knitter... 🤪

The aquarium storks practical jokes:

Delivery 1

I put a coop powerhead in they Pygmy tank. During this I seen a Pygmy much smaller than the rest. At first I thought I had an ill Pygmy but I don’t think any were that small when I moved them into the new tank. Would one not grow and the rest grow so it just looked that small…I doubt it but anything is possible. I have never seen eggs or mating behavior but it would be about the right size if they laid where I did not see it and it escaped my celestial pearl piranhas when I put them in the new home I think. So I tried to get a video they still hate my flounder phone. However not only did the Pygmy go nuts over the coop powerhead so did my CPD. They also spend most of their time playing in the flow. I baffled it with the end of a coop mini prefilter and zip tie. I had to nip some off the bottom to make it thinner for the correct flow. I moved everything forward so there is a “river” flowing in back and a slow restful front. Everyone loves it so much I ordered 3 more. One for the panda tank and one each mom and dad tank and guppy Angel tank. Those two I will lay vertically instead of horizontal. All my flow is across the surface except the sponges so I think everyone will enjoy this. Coop wins the day again ❤️  AB0B92D1-5D7E-4CAD-B914-C678161D65FC.jpeg.dae9b8f80c20c05c6bb7da119712a41c.jpeg

Delivery 2

The only girl mystery snail I still have is the one I kept from the clutch I raised this summer. I moved her very small and she never laid eggs. I found these when I went to clean the lid. I don’t know how long they were there or if they are fertile. I had the lid open quite a bit moving things so I don’t know if they will hatch we will see. I was also gifted 30+ guppy fry in this tank  DF7C50BF-DA97-4FC4-9D4B-265DCE646D99.jpeg.84be001f3884237f5a55eb8e8e5775fd.jpeg

joke 3.

I went from Pygmy tank to guppy tank to little girl guppy tank and found 3 newborn fry. I have no idea who the culprit is since they are juvenile and never showed signs. 🙄

Biggest joke of all

I took dads eggs 1 1/2 day after laying so he would get to fan a bit  I noticed his tail was shredded  so I took a pic  he always gets tail damage from backing in while mom lays but this was a lot  it’s healing just fine  then I seen these a few days later  my guess is like before mom layed a clump on dads tail  he thrashed to get it off  I did not see them so guessing they got inside a planter and hatched like the three others that did before  I noticed the clump I took was small but didn’t think anything of it  so I have no idea how many there are or if they will survive since I did not prep the tank and mom n dad keep it squeaky clean    pleco farming continues 😝168F8BF2-C8C6-4C64-9FBA-96B2036C9981.jpeg.3bba159465650bd1b53685b515e2a6a2.jpeg67BBE5D8-9A32-4F05-9952-6C497F11C4EF.jpeg.de8b9a538f0a5a4e219ae248aa5341b9.jpegE9E5FF7E-14B6-4C52-BCCC-7570F428CAF3.jpeg.0956b723cc78b240bcac7708855d9df3.jpeg

I have panda eggs everywhere still but not on glass. I still  can’t see if they are fertile or hatched so maybe someday some tiny pandas will show up  🤷‍♀️

Gave everyone the freeze dried tubifex cubes they press on the glass  barrel of laughs

Family feast

That was a kitten squeak?  Sounded like a bird!  😆

One of mine has decided she’s desperate to get in with me while I’m in QT.  She will not stop meowing outside my bedroom door.  Making me crazier than the COVID symptoms today.

Oh no. I’m so sorry you have gotten hit with the Covid bug 😢. I hope you are  feeling better soon and have a full recovery. When we brought him home we heard that squeaking in the other room and could not figure out what it was. When we realized it was him we laughed ourselves silly 🤣

I’m feeling much better today, thank you.  That really is the funniest squeak!  I’m pretty good at ID’ing animal sounds, but that one had me fooled!

Oh my gosh girl, you said barrel of laughs- some of your girls ARE barrels oh my goodness......

I started this tank wrong. I added all the girls when it was ready I added the boys. Now all the girls drop the same week 🤨. So they are all ready to pop out new hoardes of fry this week. They all slim down nicely except 2 that stay barrel-esque like their mom. 🤣

Oh man, I also thought that was a bird! 🤣 I’ve never had a kitten that had quite that sharp of a squeak. I have had one (Mac, the one on the chair) who couldn’t really figure out how to meow:

You have some happy hormonal fish! 😁

ORD 😍😍😍 I love kittens. I looked into being a foster parent for a bit. I decided I could not because I’m already the crazy fish reptile amphibian lady. I would never be able to part with kittens and hubby says I’ve reached my crazy limit so adding crazy cat lady was not allowed. 🤣 I used to have birds 35+ years ago. Conures yellow napes amazons and parakeets. Hubby was a cockatiel breeder before I met him. I couldn’t handle that kind of noise chatter anymore.

Oh wow a cockatiel breeder! That’s amazing! I’m sure it helps him be understanding of your fish breeding. 😊

Saying goodbye to my first set of foster kittens was REALLY hard, but it got easier after that. Honestly they’re so much work that it’s a bit of a relief to return them. 😆 There are ways of making it easier, too: doing a photo shoot or some other ritual on their last day… planning to visit them a few days after they go back… and having an adult cat who is queen of the house and HATES kittens and becomes a total jerk in their presence and would never forgive you if you kept one.
