Last night I was sitting on the floor watching my limia, and I looked up to see that Pooka was very excited about it. I grabbed my camera and got some of her goofiness, but then she noticed and had to go back to her usual stoicism (and then she got spooked by me standing up).

Last night while I was taking pics, I took some of Mister Mojo, my betta with tumors all over his head. They're the biggest I've seen yet, and his body condition is pretty poor - he's very skinny, even though I feed him lots. Starting to feel like the end is coming for him soon; but he still is active, eating and pooping, so at least he seems happy for now.

Someone must have added to the ones I did. I'm glad my photos are good. I just use my phone. X3

Also python is a weird tag since I don't have one.

I put the 'good photos' tag on this thread because I frequently need good photos when creating thumbnails for new posts and this thread is good source for that.

I think your drawing should/could be posted on the Memes page. The reality is it could be captioned with a "any fish I love" and it would be accurate for everyone here.

Love Pooka! Any update on the Bichers?

The bichirs are doing great! The 75 as a whole is very peaceful these days, save for Dragon bothering Dinky now and then by following him.

The sword has gotten HUUUUUGE, I love it. I just noticed my quarantine sponges are floating. Oh well.

I'm missing my tanks so I'm looking through my photos. Here's a progression of Pooka!

These first two I had to screenshot off my neglected Instagram account, since they're videos, but omg look how silly she looks! She still has her juvenile spots on her adipose fin in this one. I think this is the earliest pic I have and was around the time I got her.

Juvie pattern is almost gone in the this, and her dorsal is starting to grow it's "feathers."

This one makes me laugh, and I drew my little Pooka icon about this time: her dorsal was so big compared to her body. Reminds me of how puppies grow into their paws.

And my big, beautiful girl now. I wonder why her adipose fin wrinkled. Guess it grew too big for her butt.

This might be a fun topic to post. "All Grown Up."

Man, I tell ya guys, I really had no idea how much having my tanks was part of my daily routine. Not just feeding, but having them around to watch and maintain is such a big part of my day that being away from them is really weird. It's only been a week and I wish I had some kind of little water box to play with!

I'm in CT helping take care of/rehab my Mom for two weeks after she had a total knee replacement; and it's going well! The Physical Therapist praised me today that Mom made great progress over the weekend from me keeping her doing exercises. I feel so good about that.

Anyways, my parents moved into a condo before Covid, and I haven't been able to see it until this visit, and it turns out they have a patch of woods with a little stream alongside and behind their house. Curiosity got the better of me yesterday, and during a break in this rainy weather, I tromped down there to check it out. It's a drainage run off, basically, but still kind of serene.

I didn't see anything living in the water, but saw raccoon prints in the mud. And some gross foamy stuff.

Some day when it's drier I'd like to explore down there some more. Waaaay to muddy right now: my sneakers are caked in mud!
