Thanks, it was a second or two slow, the mystery snail, who has been named bubbles was in the flow of the sponge filter. Caught him as he was getting out of it.

Same here, last year I went straight to soil May 1st, as it was in the 70s. 3 days later nearly frost for 3 days. This year I’ll go with the seedlings, indoors until Mother’s Day

You are cut out to home school, no one cares about your children more than you. Children are naturally curious and the Prussian style school system is designed to stomp out that curiosity. There is an incredible wealth of online tools out there to assist in homeschooling, personally I’d start my research at Tom Woods show.com and search for homeschooling episodes.

There appears to be a baby Amazon sword, growing off my Amazon sword. Can I cut it off and propagate it?

20 gallon community tank 8 neon tetra, 6 panda Cory, 5 oto, 2 rams head, 1 nerite, 1 mystery. 2 medium sponge filters 1 small internal filter. 18 inch nicrew light Removed some anarchris and trimmed some tall plants in the middle. Trying to get more light on the red stem plants, as they are struggling wilting away, especially lower portion of the plants

He does not seem to notice. I had him with my neon tetras for almost a year in this 10 G and there were no issues. I moved the fish a couple of times due to algae overtaking the tank, upgraded to a 20 G and added 2 neons to make them 8 total. After all fish made it back into the 20, the neons turned on him and I had to split them up. At this point I imagine he is just happy no one is nipping his fins! Occasionally the mystery snail will fall from above, but he seems to be getting the idea to avoid that now, and is living his best life. The neons have new panda cory, and oto friends that are more their speed, I'll be making a journal for them in the near future. My black backround is construction paper taped on the back, so it may not be as reflective.

My ten gallon tank build for my betta little reddo, and his mystery snail and nerite snail friend Moved his cave and Anubis, removed some hornwort, added makeshift black background

final update, found a oto corpse when doing weekly WC. He did not survive.

I'm no expert but I understand cooler tank temps help oxygen uptake. I had issues with a recently purchased oto. Completely different situation, adding him to established tank. I added a sponge filter and lowered tank temp slowly from 79 to 75. It seemed to help.
