Noticed batch of eggs on my Java fern suspect they are from my panda corydora. 20 G other suspects are neon tetra, ottocynclis, Rams horn, mystery snails. Tank is 75•F any chance they hatch?

Yeah my pond with the goldfish was a few years back total disaster. I dug it out about 100 G so it was inground, which I feel like was what made it easy for the racoons. Also my blind dog relentlessly kept falling into it, climbing over the small fence around it and rocks surrounding it. So two full days of digging to set up, 3 days of head and heart ache, and two hours to fill in. This year its a 40 G plastic trough, planning on some water lily, stem plants and floating plants. I'll put some cinder blocks on the bottom to give the fish additional hiding places. The new neighbors Shepard mix had a recent altercation with the raccoon, and he is a big dog so hopefully no issues this year.

Really sweet setup, dig the maples and cat as well. I tried fancy goldfish in a pond setup but they ended up as expensive treats for the racoon living in my neighbors attic. This year I'm going with mountain minnows and a lot of cover.

I did the same with the Anubis, which you can see better in the first picture.

I took my Java fern out of the pot, and used gorilla glue gel to glue the base of the plant to a small stone. The plant is still alive, so I'm considering it a great success! As a bonus it makes it easy to move the plant if you desire.

I read a study, a few years back where it was estimated over 40% of peer reviewed articles couldn’t be replicated. There was also 3 academics that went out and made up the most ridiculous articles they could think of, and got quite a few peer reviewed. Most of the academics today have, and deserve, no credibility whatsoever.

It grows well in my tank, when it starts taking over, I just remove a bunch.

If hardwood flooring is too expensive, there are a lot of good cheap laminate alternatives. As a bonus laminate is an easy install

From what I know about Oscars 120 is pushing the minimum tanks size, you may want to keep your options open.

Add the Betta last. Had my Betta and neons in a 10 gallon for a year with no issues. When I upgraded to a 20G there were issues. Not certain the issues were caused by putting the betta in first, but it was a possibility.

I believe lights, substrate and fertilization are more important to plants than amount of water. That being said, Java fern, Anubis and Anacharis do well in my 20g

I like the hardscape, especially the Buddha. For my taste I would lean the second vertical wood piece from the right, perhaps against the wood on the far right. To my eye two vertical pieces look slightly out of place. edit you could do some moss on the to wood pieces on the right to make them look like trees which could be cool as well- 131 replies

Like Jack said you can put your pump in a tote and drill holes for the electric and air lines -

yeah it was stuffed in a clear glass jar with the orchid, which was half off because they snapped the spike. Joke is on them because all the roots were in great shape!

#1 Betta #2 Panda Cory #3 Mystery Snail -
They are some awesome looking fish

He didn’t place his root tabs deep enough to start. So they floated out off the substrate

This plant came with a orchid I got from Lowe’s on clearance. The roots were rotted and fell right off. Can it be saved?
