  1. I’ll be going back Saturday. I’ll see what I can find out and I’ll be sure to post about it.
  2. I also have a few of the Aqua Techs that have been around for 8-9 years. You cannot beat them for the price. Mine are filled with sponge and modified to accept a pre filter sponge on the intake.
  3. I was at the LFS yesterday and overheard a gentleman talking about feeding repashy to his pea puffers? Is this really a thing?? If so, which one? I regret not walking over and asking him. I know that he’s been keeping for longer than I’ve been alive and has a 100+ tank fish room in his home.
  4. I use the same technique as Guppysnail. 🤣🤣🤣
  5. Sorry you had to put the little guy down. People tell me I’m crazy for getting so attached to my fish but they just don’t understand what it’s like.
  6. Snello, canned green beans and zucchini are the favorites of my mystery snails and I’d say I have about 200 right now.
  7. I got a batch of endlers several years back and I had this issue but only with the males. Their mouths opened and never shut. Couldn’t eat so they ended up in the turtle tank. It came out of nowhere and seems very similar to what you’re dealing with.
  8. I just got a decent sized portion I’m using for a project. I’m curious to hear your opinion on it. I know some love it while others hate it
  9. I have an extra stock tank I use just for this purpose. I put the wood in then I use a turkey fryer to boil water, pour over the wood a few times then let it soak a while.
  10. Thanks. He’s a pretty cool dude and an awesome excellent breeder.
  11. Bug Bites, Xtreme Krill Flakes and Tetra Color Granules are my main go too dry foods but I have a ridiculous amount of other I add to the dry food rotation on occasion.
  12. My wife was sorta cool with my MTS until I added at least one tank in every room including bathrooms. She also think I’m crazy for stopped and taking busted tanks out of peoples trash but you never know when I’ll need that glass. The last time I stopped for a tank out of the trash I ended up leaving with a 55, 40 breeder, 30 half moon and 55 hex all for free!!!
  13. Carl thinks he has to be in every fish room photo. Pardon the algae on the glass.
  14. Crypts. I’ve been on a huge Crypt and Buce kick lately. I need them all!
  15. What’s your lighting, schedule and does the tank get any sunlight from a window??
  16. Dang. I didn’t know about this. I’ve been a huge fan for years. One bad part about giving up social media is missing out on this stuff. RIP Norm!
  17. Mine were very small when I got them and they grew pretty quick. I treated with the trio when I got them and all are doing great. Just starting to get eggs. Mine eat bug bites real well as well as tetra color granules. They slurp up bloodworms like spaghetti. Good luck with them. I’m sure you’ll love them.
  18. For sure. I did it with a 40 gallon stock tank that I think is 16” high. I piled the mulch and it insulated well and also gave a little heat from it composting.
  19. If you heavily mulch around it I think you’d be ok. I’ve pulled it off just not quite as small here in the mountains of WV
  20. Will someone please confirm that this is a detritus worm? My wife is acting like I found the spawn of satan in one of our tanks and is about ready to tear down the fish room! She has a pretty substantial phobia of worms and parasites. I enjoy messing with her and I’m tempted to have her look at the underside of our tanks 🤣🤣🤣🤣. thanks in advance
  21. I know it’s a gamble but I’m a gambling kinda guy. It’s filled up and starting to cycle. It’s in my kids room so I’m sure they’ll let me know if it springs a leak. Fingers crossed 🤞
  22. I just found this tank in my moms attic. It was the first tank I ever bought with my own money when I was 7-8 years old. It housed lots of fish over the years. It’s been in mom’s attic sense around 2005ish. Manufacturing date is November 20, 1989. It’s a 20 high. Will it hold water or leak? What’s your guess? My soon to be 7 year old is going to be using it for part of her mutt guppy breeding operation. She’s determined to make enough money to buy the setup for her dream fish, Amazon Puffers, then buy her fish. I’m excited to see this old thing back in action and proud of my kids entrepreneurial spirit.
