What micron bags would you recommend for purigen in my AquaClears? The last 2 batches I’ve got has leaked TONS of the white beds all over my beautiful black substrate even after throughly prerinsing 3-4 times. Thanks NERMs! Snail Assassin photo just for kicks.

New River Gorge, WV. ive never understood places with laws against driftwood collection. I can see not wanting plants and such collected but driftwood is a bit ridiculous. Come down my way. I’m not exaggerating, there’s about 5 acres that’s totally covered with driftwood at this spot. It floods several times a year and I holds all the driftwood and trash

I’m so fortunate to have and abundance of driftwood right in my backyard. The view isn’t too bad either.

@GuppysnailI think you’re on to something. I have an angelfish grow out tank in my youngest sons room. He’s had Paw Patrol figurines in it for a while now and a couple months after I added a dozen amanos the paint started slowly disappearing. I thought it was just age but now I’m thinking it could be the amanos.

I’m totally obsessed with freshwater puffers as well. I’m on a mission to get as many as I possibly can.

I have loads of amanos and never had this issue. Are you sure it’s them and not a deficiency? Are you offering them any food now that the algae is under control?

I have over 100 corys currently and all have eco complete substrate. Zero issues. Extremely happy and healthy as well as breeding nicely. I’m pretty sure @Cory showed in a Peru video what the substrate looked like when wild catching Corydoras and it was very rocky, not sandy. Good luck with your Cory Cats. I’m sure you’ll love them. How could you not??

Sorry for the delay. My family threw me a surprise belated birthday party today. I got the gentleman’s phone number and spoke with him earlier. He says he can get about 50% of his pea puffers to take to the Repashy. His method is he uses Grub Pie, when mixing it he adds Vita Chem and some Garlic guard, lets it set up then puts its through a garlic press. I think it’s worth giving it a shot. All mine are eating live foods, frozen blood worms and a few are starting to take Vibra Bites but I’d love to be able to offer a little more variety. I already have everything needed so I’ll try it for sure and keep y’all posted. If you decide to try it I’d love to hear your results!!

My guppies LOVE BBS, daphnia and mosquito larvae. I haven’t tried much else though.

I bought the same from probably the same vendor. I just rinsed off the gel, separated them and planted them in a 10 gal with eco complete under a cheap AquaNeat light. They’ve done amazingly well except for a little K deficiency but I tweaked my ferts regimen and they’re back to looking great. I’ve had really good results with all my TC plants except one batch of Dwarf hairgrass from a petco but it was starting to look a little rough when I got the cup.

I’d recommend quarantine and bulking them up a bit before introducing them to your adults

Flagfish cleared mine up quickly.
