  1. at 1/2", i might stick them in with the green neons for a few months. just to be on the safe side.
  2. i keep them in a community tank, and have had no issues with them being eaten.. imo any of them 1" or bigger should be fine with most community fish.
  3. id stick with vinegar. for me, bleach has no place near an aquarium.
  4. nothing like 200mph xmas tree's.
  5. i say 1.5" minimum, more is better. i run about 2" gravel in my tanks, and have plenty of plants.
  6. so basically a smaller northern pike. long time ago i kept all kinds of game fish including northerns. they like to eat, and they make big poop. live food is going to be the staple for feeding. crappie minnows, creek chubs, basically whatever is an appropriate size at the local bait shop. definately a large tank fish.
  7. you trying to tell us you had a little xmas miracle there?
  8. pretty soon you will have so many being born every month, you'll just shake your head. the first time you get baby guppies is very cool though.
  9. i dont know if its the proper way, but anubia's i just snap the rhizome where i want to separate the plant.
  10. i dont see any swords, but those crypts all over, you can just grab a bunch, and move it. break the linking root, no problems.
  11. watch some tree's fly down the drag str ip.
  12. im not big into it, but i can do the tunes for a few days.
  13. i guess the early xmas music folks burned out on it already!😎
  14. male guppy's have 2 things on their mind, and #2 is food. with 2 females, and 1 male, they should be fine.
  15. i am sure there was no intent to make you feel stupid! the mod may not have known quite what direction you were headed in. good thing is, in short order you got the info you were after.
  16. its all a balance of light, and nutrients. always an experiment to see what works best in each tank.
  17. a good sinking pellet food would be much better. cory's arent big algae eaters.
  18. cory's can handle some salt. as they have a skin vs scales, its best not to salt super heavy, but when it comes to treating illness, killing off the illness takes priority over minor skin irritation.
