  1. a good 'nother 2.5 weeks before i can tolerate the xmas music..
  2. you can leave them in the baskets. some leave them in the baskets forever, though i might add while it wont harm the plants, most will thrive more if taken out of the pots.
  3. mistakes can certainly happen, but i dont use aquahuna any more for several reasons.
  4. never do a 100% water change. nothing but bad can come from that. multiple smaller changes spread out over a few days is much better.
  5. i have the ultimate solution, add a few more layers of block to the fence. rules say cant go higher than top of fence, do they say you cant raise the fence??😎
  6. dont wanna ask me, i cook on old hand me down junk pans.
  7. now you can make fancy grilled ham and cheeses sammiches!🤪
  8. you can just stick them in the tank. receive your co-op order, unbag 'em, and plant them in the tank.
  9. how much of the garage, and how many tanks. definately get the size down, and then sketch it out on paper.
  10. you have a spigot, and 20ish feet to go, how about a 25' or longer garden hose.
  11. spiderwood doesnt tint water too badly. now it will grow a nice white fungus for a short time after being put in a tank. that is unsightly , but hurts nothing and goes away after a while.
  12. yup, canned peas, the nastiest of em all! ick!🤢
  13. my crypts dont get root tabs either, and they grow like nuts. i hate peas. my folks forced me to eat them nasty things when i was a kid. had to stay at the table til they were gone. many a long hour was spent sitting there trying not to puke them things up. good thing the german shepherd would stay at the table until all the food was gone. sneak the dog a few at a time, and all is good. without the dog, i might still be sitting at that table 4 decades later.
  14. 55's and smaller i can handle with a siphon and bucket, but large tanks like my 120, no way would i have one without the python.
  15. a small mesh bag or two with some coral in it, and bury it in the substrate.
  16. yeah, thats odd. it should take much more than a moderate temp change to do anything.
  17. a water change alone should not cause a melt. how long have the crypts been in the tank?
  18. shhh, if you dont talk about the cold, it might stay away! co-ops insulated bags and heat packs do a good job handling adverse weather. last year when it was nice and cold out, usps decided to get them from wash, to mn in a few days(great right), then sent them to denver for a few days, then back to mnpls for a couple days before getting them to the local post office to deliver. was a total of 10 days before they arrived, surprisingly none of the plants died, a few were stunted pretty good, but all lived.
