  1. In China, asking that means you are a great person. LFSs here are more than happy to let customers get their desired fish by themselves, which I often do. At least, reasonably sized/common fish.
  2. Thank you! A barb indeed, not a carp I tried so unsuccessfully to find.
  3. Can someone help with ID of this fish? In the store it was referred to as "doughnut ji" (a type of carp in Chinese). It's about 2" long, its back and fins are orange, a bit brighter in real life than in the photo.
  4. Female rosy bitterling in breeding mode, with her ovipositor ready, checking on a pond snail. Too bad the snail can't substitute for a freshwater clam/mussel, so the bitterlings never get to spawn.
  5. I have no experience with young bettas, mine came as adults in full finnage. Maybe, if you post a picture, someone with more knowledge will advise. Your halfmoon (or is it rosetail?) is a gorgeous fish, no doubt about it. White cloud minnows? These guys really don't like tropical temperatures...
  6. I was about to ask for the ID of these guys, but I think I've found the answer myself. It's Rasbora borapetensis/ Red-tailed Rasbora/Brilliant Rasbora, right? Very tight schoolers, will follow your finger like silvertip tetras, about 1.5" long.
  7. I never thought microbes and algae and other microscopic things can look so pretty. Fascinating stuff.
  8. Not sure what are you referring to as "the bottom". I'm guessing their fins? General Two has a bit longer ventral (pelvic) fins, but it's nothing unusual.
  9. Larger anubias varieties and amazon swords should do fine, they don't seem to mind quick flow and moderate/low lighting.
  10. My rabbits love blanched carrots.
  11. I hope it's ok to share here...these are not mine and not shots, but look at this super-macro!
  12. My spade-tail "generals": General One He is very serious about his nest building. This nest is 8" long and a bit less than an inch tall. If I could, I would find him a girlfriend just because he is so dedicated :) General Two. He just looks good :)
  13. Not sure if it counts as really weird...one of my golden guppies gave birth to conjoined twins today. I watched the female struggle, she had such a tough time pushing out something big. Eventually, two babies came out at once, both with perfectly normal head and tail, but joined at their bellies. They twisted and turned and tried desperately to free themselves of each other, with no success. I thought I'll try to raise them anyways and see what happens...but the guppy mom thought they are an easy snack and ate them on the spot. Oh well... at least there were normal babies as well and they were alive and kicking :)
  14. I can only select categories, not specific videos: Breeding fish for profit series Top 10 lists Unboxings Aquarium Co-op store and warehouse tours Fish care guides But my real answer would be "please, just continue to be yourself and only make content that you want/like/enjoy to make."
  15. Mine too. Where they hang more depends mostly on the amount of tasty algae in this particular spot.
