Fish Folk
Moving tanks from grade school classroom to our home fishroom now that the year is done. Couldn’t believe how many golden white cloud fry hatched in this 5.5 gal! Also gave a 3.5 gal. full of steel blue platys to a grade schooler. Happy summer!
Patrick_G
@Fish Folk, I got a laugh out of the last two pics! You know you’re probably enabling some serious MTS with that idea.😀

Chris
Drained a 65 gallon tank I plan to try and do some Indian Mudskippers in. I had it set up as a freshwater paladarium, and just never put the time/effort into making it a tank I really enjoyed. The mudskippers should be fun, though! Otherwise, I moved a few plants and fed my fish some baby brine shrimp. So many baby brine shrimp!
Griznatch
Tore down my 55 to get ready for angels I am getting this weekend. I hauled probably 80 pounds or more of rock and at least 100 pounds of eco-complete out of there. Got black sand in there now and more room for the fish. Moved the 20 to new area and rescaped it as well as removing the eco-complete Before Empty: the new ten gallon below the "angel" tank is gonna be for daphnia Ready for angels, gotta scrounge up a nice piece of driftwood too and really add plant density. That tank to the left of the 55 has a new batch of baby cpds and my experimental green neo colony. 20 gallon now is chilies only. Now they are out and about, instead of hiding in the corner of the 55. Bottom is cycling and will be the remnants of my blue dream colony, and the remainder of my tuxedo guppies, Most went to LFS for trade on the angels, along with my male dwarf gouramis. Lots of plant regrowth to happen, but I'm really glad the chilies got their own tank. I'm re-establishing my yellow shrimp colony in there with them.

MattyIce
Friend hooked me up with some 175 gallon totes. Today I got 2 of them ready for summer tubbing. I put 3 bags of pea pebbles in each, built a connected pvc over flow, and added sponge filters. Then I took some 27 gallon totes, drilled 1 1/2 inch holes in the corners so I could thread bamboo through them for support, and drilled 100+ Small holes in them using a drill bit so I can use them as pond baskets:

Someone in my area successfully bred them and these are the babies, although they are already 4+ inches. I havent had angels in over 20 years,so I'm excited!

Chris
Lots of personality going on in the QT tank tonight - I've seen fish yawn before, but I don't know that I've ever seen a fish throw something at me! 4

Well, now it's only one, since Bo killed Nattie. Some of them can get fierce! Bo has been picking off almost all of his tankmates, so now he's looking mighty lonely. That's my fear, since they are teenagers and were all in same tank I'm hoping for a peaceful trio.. Not sure if I'm being too optimistic... Was also considering gold laser cories. Anyone have experience with those and angels? Edited June 11, 2021 by Griznatch spelling and adding some more...
Fish Folk
Added one final piece to our little fishroom - a 33 gal. long with stand and 2x 5.5 gal tanks inside the cabinet. It’s not properly scaped or planted, but it’s _finally_ here and running. Here’s a panoramic shot of the fishroom. Griznatch
Good to hear, thanks for the feedback! I've wanted cories for a while, and both my wife and I are getting old enough where it's nice to have a fish that easy to watch without having our noses pressed to the glass 🙂

Maggie
Today I helped break down my 45 and 20 tanks and move them to their new owner's vehicle. This is a fellow LFC member who has big plans for the fish and tanks, and that makes me very happy. He took my angels last month, and now they're thriving in a 125 and he said it appears they've paired off. We were able to get the tanks out to his car with the fish in them and I am so happy about that!! He is going to keep them in their respective tanks while he finishes setting up a 275 that he was already working on, and the rasboras will go in that tank - they'll be in fishy heaven on earth in a tank that size! All I have left is Cosmo - now I'm going to go cry. Some day I will have more again.
