    I agree. Putting the whole load in at once might upset the cycle and potentially kill off sensible creatures like shrimp. Try changing a quarter a week, and maybe spread it out over a month. Love the look of the tank!

    First of all: Welcome to the forum! Secondly: It looks like a bit of a sore, potentially caused by scraping on some sharp tank decorations. Try dosing with kanaplex or/and Maracyn

    Looks like he’s defending a sort of territory to me. I’ve had the same problem in the past, and solved by adding another loach because they’ll either breed or fight against each other instead of other fish.

    I once tried a male only tank, they all tried to kill each other over a period of two weeks.😢
