  1. @TeeJay, since your journal makes you seem a bit like a shrimp king 😉, do you think that selectively breeding cherry shrimp to be the size of Amanos could work? @Scapexghost was wondering that the other day.
  2. Though if you managed to make some and sold them at a convention you could say to the other vendors: 'My ones bigger than your one!' 😂
  3. I'll tag @Zenzo because he's also done a lot of vids on Mudskippers. Might be able to give advice better than I can 😉!
  4. Glad to see I'm not the only person who isn't mature enough 😂
  5. Have you tried the second type of mop? You or someone mentioned that they only seem interested in the fry and not the eggs, and as ricefish spawn by rubbing themselves on floating plants... https://www.aquariumcoop.com/blogs/aquarium/spawning-mop
  6. My endless females dropped some fry recently, and my mystery snail babes are about to hatch! Also have some danios. Will post pics later.
  7. @Chick-In-Of-TheSea and @Guppysnail both have thriving snail colonies, so I expect they're the ones to ask. Welcome to the forum btw!
  8. Keep them ! I've never seen that before. Keep 'em and breed 'em and make a new strain. Have a nice day and keep us posted!
  9. Welcome to the forum! I don't see why it shouldn't work after baking the wood, but I'd remove the lichen and maybe bark too just in case. Just make sure it doesn't drastically change the water params.
  10. I expect first you would need to find a genetic variation that has made 1 cherry shrimp larger than the others, then accentuate that through selective breeding. Nice idea though, and I'll keep an eye out at my LFS!
  11. If you can, look for a snowball pleco, which is a completely white BN. Love the scape!
  12. From the pics at the top of the journal I can see that you have a decent amount of floating plants and other stuff, so I expect you might be able to gat a decent increase in numbers.
  13. Have you tried using a spawning mop?
  14. How would you make a floating island?? It would be quite fun if you could grow Anubias on it (idealistic youngster ALERT 🚨 )
  15. Sorry to hear that 😞. Must be nice to have something that actually fights back! All the mountain trout up here are like the break and strain of a Kit Kat on a summers day.
  16. Winter too or is that a step too far? I really appreciate your advice.
  17. Very interesting journal @Fish Folk! Would you say that rainbow shiners are OK in a outdoor pond from late spring to early autumn?
