    Nice scape! What is the plant on top of the wood? Nice black shrimp, I didn’t know that you can successfully keep them with bettas!

    Thanks! It took forever to balance and I have a whole army of Amanos that I got cheap in there to deal with the algae. Somehow there are even little neon fry popping up around the place; usually 10-20 a month. Debating wether to add snowball plecos or some L333s . Any pics of the 40 gal going?

    As a LFS employee, I’m trying to get my manager to have a look at the ACO partner program (can’t hurt to have a shot, right?!?) and I don’t think there’s any rules on return per week. We haven’t done the form yet so forgive me if I’m wrong! @Cory might be able to inform you, or have a look at the ACO website.

    Fat chance! I’d be pushing the limits of the manager’s tolerance if I asked (already told him that medication is better than just culling, most of the time I medicate the fish at my place because they have a 50% discount if they’re sick 😢) Will do!

    Once trimmed horn wort in my shrimp tank, and really had to make sure there weren’t any shrimp in it. It took forever!!!

    I don’t really name fish (other wise I get sad if they die 😢) but for those two snails I’d choose ‘Ingot’ and ‘Amethyst’ as they’re both gold with purple shells. Nice window cleaner, does he(or she) also do the dishes?😂

    You’re not the only one, but sometimes we need to be content with what we have and bide our time planning future fish rooms (providing we can afford them) How many tanks do you have btw? Until then….:

    Start a club! I did in my mountain village and I was surprised with the response I got! Tends to help if you have some decent knowledge on fish already, half of the club members thought 💭 plecos ate poop and angelfish could be kept in a 15 gal 🤦‍♂️

    No, but it does form a strong sort of stem which has a Latin name which I can’t remember 😂.

    Keep it simple to start with, by getting a good male/female ratio, and then get a good strain going by continually bringing new guppies into the tank and selling offspring to make room for them. Livebearers are like instant noodle: just add water😂. Keep us posted on how you do!

    What DIY food?!? I’ve only ever tried to do algae tabs for my plecos.

    I think that dwarf chain loaches seem to be the most natural option, as they can remove snails 24/7 and not when you put the trap in, so if I were you I’d go for either them or Assassin Snails, but you’d need a horde of assassins…so loaches are probably the cheaper option. Keep us posted on how it goes!

    Maybe that, but mostly because so much resistance means that it’s very hard to get plants to root in the first place (personal experience) and plants do experience more difficulties if they aren’t high-flow plants. @dasaltemelosguy knows a lot about plants, maybe he can touch this up.

    Good work! I think it may take some time for it to finish cycling, but you’re speeding up the process by doing that.
