We just finished marathoning the entire Star Wars series, in sequence. I had seen all of the at one time or another, starting with Episodes IV of course...then 20 something years later there was Episode I...I was always confused. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So this time, we started with two seasons of The Mandlorian and the on to Episode I The Phantom Menace and straight through every night to the last one, Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.

I consider it on of the great pop culture achievements of my life. 😉

Nice

I'm a movie nut, from classics to below B quality from any country in the world.

My favorite movie of all time is TRON.   I actually have a nice collection of TRON memorabilia including an Identity Disc signed by Tron and Yori.   One day I'll get it all properly displayed and share some pics.

My favorite "fish" themed flick I'd have to say is the Incredible Mr. Limpet.

Action movie: The Last Boy Scout

Comedy: Revenge of the Nerds

Drama: Rainman

Horror: Evil Dead 2

Fantasy: Excalibur

Sci-fi: Tron

Western: They Call Me Trinity

Sports movie: A League of Their Own

Pirate movie: Ice Pirates

Christmas movie: Miracle on 34th Street

Does anyone else remember the aquarium laboratory scene from the original Godzilla?? Every time someone comes over... before opening my room... I’m like Dr. Serizawa, “Do you want to see what I’ve been working on?” 🏴‍☠️

Seen it many times.  A local network runs a lot Godzilla marathons.  Never could figure out why  Serizawa never cleaned the aquarium,

I don't have a best movie list, too many contenders. I have some kind of a link to 3 of my favorites.

Sci-Fi:  Close Encounters will probably remain my favorite Sci-Fi film.  I have climbed the Devil's Tower.

Sport:  Breaking Away.  Bloomington, Ind. is semi close and I used to be into cycling.  Milan is closer so Hoosiers gets a runner up.

Christmas:  A Mammoth Christmas.  It's funny, and I was invited to see the premier showing

@GameCzar I did not think anyone remembered the incredible Mr. Limpet.

I have never seen The Princess Bride! (((Hangs head in shame)))

I have not seen as many movies as it appears you all have; I love going to the movies but it's pretty impossible for me to sit still long enough to watch a movie at home.

I do have some favorites:

Comedy: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Tearjerker: April Snow (Korean), A Japanese Story (Australian)

Romance: A Room with a View, My Beautiful Laundrette

Obsessive Sports Participation/Personal Growth: River Runner

The greatest movie of all time is "Joe versus the Volcano".  Also, comedies are really the only movies worth watching in my opinion.  It's why I have never cared for any of the award shows*, they have no respect for comedy.  None.  Just a shame really, especially now that comedy is a dying art form in general.  R.I.P. comedy, we had some good times, didn't we?

* I make an exception to watch Ricky Gervais as the host of any award show!

When I lived in Tucson I got to go to Greasy Tony's.  Once.  That was enough.  It really was a college institution.  Students would go in and ask for a "blackberry Coke" and they'd spike the coke with some sort of berry schnapps.  Probably whatever they had on hand at the time.  The food certainly lived up to the name.  Legendary.
