Any plant ideas for the foreground?
Im also looking for a nice piece of rock/wood for the center.

Rotala bonsai, crypts, hydrocotyle tripartita(this plant has to be trained to stay low by constant trimming), AR mini/rosanervig/lilacina, hygrophila corymbosa 'compact', blyxa japonica, s.repens

My cats get Hills Sensitive Stomach & Skin. Used to be called Sensitive Stomach. I have a “power eater” and he was quite often getting sick right after/during meals. He very rarely gets sick now that he eats this food. And both cats have thick velvety soft coats 😍

Totally off topic.  Did you use feeding mats to slow the cat down or?  I have a pup that is exactly the same way.  they got new dog treats and my analogy is the episode of impractical jokers when the guy was making a joke about trying to "one throat a chicken wing". LOL.  You mentioned the food helping, we've moved to larger size (normal vs. small bites) to try to help as well.

Dog is fine, but sometimes they need to slow down and chew and it's hard to communicate that.  I've also seen the corydoras do that too with worms and scared itself half to death for a little while.

So at mealtime they get a little bit of wet food, like a spoonful or two. And what Tony was doing was scarfing it down like it’s some kind of race. Then he would immediately switch to the nearby dry food and power that down as fast as possible. Then blehh.. so what I did was pick up the dish of dry food whenever I was offering the wet so he didn’t have access.

I would set it back down like 15 minutes later, kind of like a restaurant server paces the meal (serves first course, short wait, then second course, etc). Because we leave dry food down all the time so they can have something to eat when they get hungry throughout the day: while we are at work etc.

He only rushes and binges when it’s wet food time. When it’s ONLY dry that’s available, he will just nibble here & there. My husband thinks he was competitive eating because at wet food time, both cats are fed together. Perhaps he thought the little girl was gonna steal it from him. Why, I don’t know- Mouse eats slowly and politely.

Issue for the most part resolved when we went with the Hills food. Even when I forgot to pick up the dry, he wouldn’t get sick if the food was Hills sensitive stomach food.

As of December though, the issue seems to have fully resolved because he had two teeth pulled; they had cavities. And now he doesn’t eat as fast.

For your pup I’d suggest a smaller portion; measure it out.

We having a race, huh!? 😂

(I saw the little one yesterday during the WC, I'm going to have to go grab an updated shot of 'em before bed.)  It looks probably the same size.

Before:  This is probably ~3 weeks when pattern is formed.

Any name ideas for the male

i shall make a suggestion and you will not like it with the amount of explaining it requires.

My suggestion is this: Napoleon

Why? Well the orange of that fish reminds me of a clementine, there is some tune that sounds like clementine, and you can sing "Beasts Of England" from Animal Farm to that tune, and ill choose the scariest character. (If nobody else understands this, i shall be sad)

or

Napoleon because often Apistos are territorial and as was Napoleon Bonaparte, to the point he needed even MORE land and took over most of europe, and egypt. (If im the only one that gets this reference i shall be even sadder)

That’s a pretty good name! Animal farm was my favorite book when I was younger (9ish), it’s only later when I understood the significance of it.

yeah, but not everyone understands it, and i gave the second explanation for that reason, also im not trying to insult your fish (Thats all i'll say without violating the "no Politics" rule on here, you probably know what i mean though)

I sure hope everyone gets the second explanation (otherwise I will be very sad)
