I actually pulled what I thought was one snail off the glass so I could ask about pond v bladder snails. Little did I know I would witness ‘the snail with two shells’! There were some other creatures that showed up in the video too.

I think my favorite is the "Yertle The Turtle" game when they all pile up on top of one snail!

Can I please get some physical setup opinions? I moved a 20H from my folks’ house, and put it on the living room dresser where I had three 3.5 gallon tanks and a brine shrimp hatchery. I had to move two of those things, so this is temporary.

The bureau is not wide enough for one pico per side. I am thinking of centering the 20H alone, or sliding it into the right corner, with a pico or a houseplant on the left.

I could move a pair of picos to bookend my bow. This would be easier than extending. Houseplants would fit nicely. This might even be the same furniture from my childhood 20H. It certainly has all the signs of water damage.

Despite the circumstances, this is getting me out of an aquarium funk. I am not just feeding and topping off.

Or, making a raiser for the cube behind the front pico, stepping the picos and mimicking the staircase look on the right side of the tank.

I have learned not to be that clever while renting. Moving this 20 gallon refreshed my memory of the effort of moving. I had to get help on each end of the drive because of all the substrate. I actually walked through a box store on my way down, just to remind myself of all the large tanks that would be a pain to move. I also wanted to be sure that I didn’t want to spend on a stand.

Centered with flanking house plants I think looks best. The picture of the pico on the right doesn’t “flow” to my vision. If you do go with the 20, pico and plant  I would put the pico and plant on the left. The declining angle of the staircase and declining height of the tanks would match “smoothing” the visual affect.

@ChemBob, this is the same tank, moved about 32 miles, with new water. These fish started in outdoor tubs, then a year inside there, and now here.

I have good water at both locations, so I just gave it a six hour spin-up before dropping the fish. I did move the HoB from the 16 bow just to collect floating bits in foam.
