  1. I planted this in January, and the brown has slowly crept up to the higher leaves. My tank parameters, and equipment is in my signature. All other plants are doing great. I dose Easy Green 2x / week, and dose Easy Root Tabs 1x / month. ACO Easy LED is at 60% Could it be due to being next to the heater?
  2. My Embers do that too; but come out later in the day and swim around. Mostly skittish...but do come out and swim around in the front eventually.
  3. They all do the same thing. There's not one that's better than the others. Fritz Complete has a pump head if you buy from the Co-Op. So, there's that. Other than that - they all work the same.
  4. CaribSea Peace River is a common and popular river look for a non-dirted substrate. Were you dosing liquid fertilizer and root tabs for your plants that weren't going well? Generally you need both for plants to thrive. The substrate doesn't matter for Cordoras. They're around sharp substrates in the wild. Don't worry about avoiding sharp substrates for them.
  5. Sounds like you're a full fledged NERM already. Welcome!
  6. I squeeze out my pre-filter sponge in the used tank water every week during water changes.
  7. Dwarf Aquarium Lily, and Crypts. They both are fast growers, and fill out the space they're in really well. Crypts are a great mid ground plant. I think I'm going to do a Crypt garden ala Corey some day.

    Perfect; thanks. Bought!

Do you have a link for the flexible ice trays that you use? Looking at ones on Amazon; and of course they all have their flaws...ha I don't want flaky plastic getting in the food like some end up having, or other issues like that. Wondering if you really like the ones you use?
  10. Nice! What are your plans for your tank? Shrimp, inverts? What about your lights and filtration? I always enjoy hearing what 'runs' people's tanks.
  11. Cory mentioned this on the Facebook group. I still have the Fritz salt that the Co-Op used to sell, as I haven't run out yet. Would this work, or do I need their new Easy Brine Shrimp Salt to do this?
  12. Just bought a Top Fin stand from Petco, and I love it! It's the best store bought stand I've ever had; and I've had quite a bit. Their customer service is great too!
  13. Yeah; Frogbit doesn't care about flow, nor water on top. It's why I have it in my tank. It's not high maintenance at all.
  14. Whichever substrate you choose - don't worry about sharp edges with Corydoras. Cory himself has said he sees Corys in the wild, with sharp bottoms in the areas they're in, in nature. That is not an issue in an aquarium.
  15. This. Don't chase parameters like this, if everything is happy and healthy.
  16. We LOVE us some tank pics! When you have a chance, let's see your tank 🙂 Welcome aboard!
  17. The same goes for fish and plants, as well - I might add.
  18. Welcome! How long have you been in the hobby? How big is your current tank? How long has it been set up? I'm from Michigan. A lot of great people here, with a lot of great advice! Check out the Aquarium Co-Op YouTube channel - so, so much info to learn from there, as well as here!
  19. Are you using any root tabs? If not, I would suggest inserting those 1x / month. Also, what are your other water parameters?
  20. I've got the sponge filter one for you, or the other Killifish one. I'm interested in your purple snail.
  21. I stumbled upon this video, laughed a lot, learned more about them, and was hooked. I just wish that I had joined the club sooner. I'll hit 3 years in May. This is still my #1 favorite ACO video. I laugh every time I watch it.
  22. IMO, the best algae eater is live plants. That's what I would recommend. Tell us a little about your tank - how long has it been set up, pics, anything else besides guppies?
  23. I know it's one squirt per 10 gallons. One squirt has to be the solution for anything under 10. I agree with @lefty o your plants look great!
