  1. Yeah that may be my next step. I may be getting more underutilized eggs too since I got these corys in April this yr. they are still on the young side.
  2. The eggs are in the tumbler still had some fuzzingnup the fry I put else where once I finally saw them.
  3. They look great. I have two albino Cory cats hatched today. I’m still in shock at how tiny they are. And here I thought guppy fry were little they are huge in Comparison.
  4. Well my albino Cory cat egg keep fuzzing up at times while In the tumbler.. it’s so hard to tell good eggs from bad as they all look about the same color. I did have one fry appear today. He’s all alone. I had no idea how freaking small they would be. What do I do with this lil one. Took him outta the tumbler removed two badly fuzzed eggs. And place it back with the air stone to keep on tumbling. My corys also Layed even more eggs in side of tumbler. Should I try leaving the on there and risk loosing them in my 36 g tank. With their parents and snails. And neo cherry shrimp.
  5. Managed to get one corydora fry some eggs still funguses over and then they laid some more 😂😂 again on side of tumbler
  6. Well crap the corycat eggs I had in there funguses over in a rush leaving house today for work with cranky toddler and pinched the air line to much and it stopped my tumbling 🤦‍♀️😭 so those eggs are off to side in bowl method praying to save them. But my corydoras must love me Bc they layed a tong more eggs on the tumbler itself haha 😂
  7. Also helps them not fungus over so to speak. Got mine from the coop. Super easy set up.
  8. I just placed my albino corydora eggs in the tumbler. I had a surprise as I got home from work. I’m so excited. How much flow is good. Box says gently tumble but all my eggs were starting to stick together even tumbling. Is it 5 days till hatch?
  9. How long did they take to hatch? I had a surprise batch tonight and moved to egg tumbler. In parent tank. I’m so excited my last batch fuzzed over quickly Bc I didn’t get to them in time before my hatchery came in.
  10. I have exact opposite problem with my tap and ph with eco complete and without. Started tanks with fluval ph lowering substrate not realizing what an ordeal that would be as it was all I saw at my big box store as a newbie…It was horrid. Ph was 5-6 ish had to add a ton of crushed coral to even get close to 7-7.3 so my two newest tanks I used eco complete with a smidge of crushed coral. And I say at an even 7.6. I have no kh out of tap so have to use my coral to kinda even me out. black eco complete used in 10g and my 29g been up for months no issues.
  11. Been hard to get pic of lil buggers they stay mid way back in tank haha since they are still in with parents they are quick lol buggers to snap pic most are a blurry haha
  12. Aww yay. Love guppy fry. I had a batch born Monday. My original fry are about 2-3 months old now. Boys have gorgeous color. 2 diff strains
  13. Aww yeah will be fun to see what all these ladies poop out color wise since they were at shop in mutt tank. But I think she gets them from a local breeder. So she had similar males to mine she was keeping in her display only tank.
  14. Some of my new gals to go with my 3 big ear purple mosaic boys. I also have 16 Japan blue babies as well. Working on getting my algae gone in my boys tank. I think I got their culls, I but don’t care this s Sherbet male is gorgeous. Loving seeing. Fellow guppy lovers.
  15. Following. I have japan blue females. Still trying to see what colors they will be. Looks like females have pretty tails and mostly tan body with a hint of teal shimmer. Most of mine are babies atm
  16. Yeah I agree mutts would have been the better route. I had never had guppies b4 either and still new to hobby. So it was fast learning curve. But I love my sensitive stinkers haha 😂 I fig the ones that made it are the stronger of bunch anyhow.
  17. Yay another guppie buddy. I have japan blue female and her 20 fry. 3 big ear purple mosaics males all still in my q/t tub’s so don’t have super great pictures yet. Hope to start moving them all to their new permanent homes soon. Sill debating what to do with mosaic boys. I had a rough start on getting some very sick purple mosaic guppies from shop out west and my Japan blue’s were from Tx and have done well minus me stressing them out a bit with ph change to quick or ammonia spike. Mine are quite sensitive. Should have gone guppy mutt route.
  18. Aw man 😔..well it’s still awesome. Just gonna have to research more window film sun blocker type stuff haha for my 36 gallon
  19. Ooooooh I love that mesh shade stuff on your tank I soooo need that for my 36 gal tank. What is it and where did you get it. Your tank is simple yet elegant.
  20. My betta is In a 5 gal with live plants and he uses the whole tank. Guppies breed so much I wouldn’t place them in a 5G tank unless you do all males. I’ve heard 1 pea puffer can work. They are so cool I haven’t broken down and gotten one yet. Still got my new strains of guppies in qt tubs will be moving the trio to 36 gal tank and and their 15 babies to my 29 g grow out tank. Same mammas will have more babies in 2 wks so. Full house happens quick with guppies. My other strain only 3 males made it thru outta my group might move them to my 10 gal. Hope this helps some.
  21. Thanks @Odd Duck these eggs seem a bit opaque. But my corys are young. So maybe infertile eggs. Will leave them be and keep an eye on them to see if they change color. Would love to get little Cory fry 😁
  22. Yeah it’s decently planted. I’m still not 100%if these are corydora eggs or my nerites. I know they say sesame seed looking eggs are narite snail eggs. But I honestly can’t tell
