  1. My 36g tank is a kit tank has a decent strip of led’s mounted on underside of lid. But if I wanted to add more lights how would I go about doing that. All my new plants in back are mostly high lighting plants. And sometimes I feel this single strip of led’s doesn’t hit those areas as well. This is just thought too for when ever my current leds might go out. Not that I anticipate that this soon after buying it last yr. Just random thoughts. What do y’all think?
  2. Big water changes on 29&36g and first cleaning of my canister filter for 36g tank. Added some more plants. Waiting on water to uncloud so I can add the rest as my corycats are still swimming about so couldn’t just take water all the way down. Got my pleco cave placed he will find it at some point. He’s relaxing On his driftwood atm. Still have so many plants to place. planting stired up a lot of sand.
  3. I used the coop fry food not first bites although that would work then bbs.
  4. Glad I found this mine were struggling in my guppy tank. Guess they needed a tad more than the nitrates.
  5. Small discus would be great for those that love them and can’t do the lager tank footprint. Vary cool little fish.
  6. Baby brine shrimp is also a favorite. Yours will be a tad easier to spot than mine I hope. Holy cow are albinos hard to spot this is zoomed in so much but I had like 105 at one point.
  7. Personally I go with less aggressive fish first. My corydoras were first. Slowly adding other things to my 36g community tank. My angels will be last and my German blue rams just before them.
  8. Welcome to the cool kid club😁. MTS is a real thing and we all love to support each others love for the hobby. You will lwarn a lot here. I use the sizzling egg tumbler from coop- to get mass hatching for my albino aneaus corydoras. I don’t is easier than letting them stay in tank where the parents tend to munch on them. Good feeding and slightly 2-3 degrees cooler water changes make mine spawn like rabbits. Can’t wait to see how yours do. What kind do you have?
  9. It’s in the tip of my tongue🤦‍♀️.. my lfs sells it. If I think of it I’ll post again. It didn’t do well in my tanks… yours however looks great. Ok I do believe your correct on the “Nesaea Crassicaulis” my lfs had them planted into substrate in there mass plant aquarium.
  10. It’s aquarium coop plant unboxing day eeek so many pretty plants. Adding them to the 36g tomorrow. Also got a pleco cave for my boy to chill in. Hope he likes it. a few plants will Perk right up with some water and fertilizers. The trip from coast to coast in this south East heat wave was a bit rough this time. Cory and his team shipped them as awesome as always beautifully packed and protected
  11. Vary cool updates all tanks looking great man!
  12. I always make my water changes few degrees cooler, that triggers spawning. Feed heavier as well few days before and after helps too. I roll eggs off with fingers or card. My tank twmp fluctuated between 78-80o gotten my tank as cool as 75o during a large water change but usually couple degrees lower does the trick.
  13. Mine was quite big, I weighed it down with rocks right off the bat and left it in my tank for about 2 wks before I started to remove some rocks. My wood was manzanita and seemed to soak up water pretty fast, smaller pieces are spider wood and they took about as long
  14. My amazon 36g bowfront is coming along great. Driftwood finally doesn’t float and corys moving substrate constantly. So had some plant issues in beginning. But got it figured out now and things are staying in place now. Yay!! Also one fry has thrived all on its own in the tank finally spotted him the other day when re doing plants.
  15. Shiners are pretty, glad to hear you are figuring out the issue. And getting somewhere. All looks great
  16. Southern aquatics in Roswell is the bomb I choose them over the sore closest to me. It’s and hours drove but worth it.
  17. There fixed it idk why it posted upside down the first time.
  18. New plants thanks to Cory and his team can’t wait to get em into my Amazon tank. For now chilling with my guppies. Also spotted a random Cory fry on my driftwood. Just barely saw a wiggle of movement on it.
  19. Praying ya continue to feel better. Had it twice myself it’s horrid.
  20. Water change day and plant tinkering. Guppy’s looking good. Corys spawning again. Save some eggs this time to help raise bc the juveniles ate the 300 eggs that were layed the other day. Trying to be patient as my coop order of more plants arrive tomorrow. Those will go in my Amazon tank.
  21. Had to show my big mamma. Eventually they will have German blue rams, and angels in there too. My Bnp is hiding some place. But for now enjoying them ruling the tank.
  22. Enjoying the changes. Of my tank overhaul. Waiting for my next Coop shipment of plants. I think she’s looking pretty cool. Can’t decide on keeping tannins in water or not. But enjoying my first tank with driftwood. My corys are happy as well as they spawned again. first day vs 5 day set up of tank.
  23. Well it was a process and a half but finally got most everything done on my 36g Amazon inspired tank. Got few extra rocks holding down my driftwood. But otherwise mostly finished. Need more plants. Gonna place some nana petite and need more Amazon swords. Want some buce wavy green too. Sorry for the cloudy pic hopefully will clear up by morning. I’m officially off to bed lol
