@Guppysnail is the only person I know who has trained her aquatic friends to use dishes....she is currently working on forks and spoons but that is an on going process...🤣

If you did all that driving while working then this would be a walk in the park for you. Go and enjoy yourself.

That is good to hear but Fenbendazole is the active ingredient in Panacur C and No Planaria and it is quite known to kill snails. Maybe because of the low dosage you got those results but I know for a fact that Fenbendazole will kill pond and bladder snails dead fast. I didn't have Ramshorn's in the tank I tried it with. The shrimp were fine but every snail was dead. Ammonia started to creep up because of the rotting snails so a complete cleaning had to be done and daily water changes until everything balanced again. 2 months later went and bought 5 nerite snails for different tanks and added one to the shrimp tank. It was dead in 24 hours and the other 4 are still going now 6 months later in the other tanks. This is just my experience.

@lefty oMy sincerest condolences on the loss of your father. Mine passed 21 years ago this October and there isn't a day I don't miss him. I would take that found tank and set it up in his memory with things he liked and that is where I would go everyday to talk to remember and talk to him.

Believe it or not she can get even bigger. I have a female sword that is god aweful huge right now. Been that way for 2 weeks...still hasnt dropped them. I am feeding BBS and trying to get her to drop but she is holding them.

Could be any time that she drops the fry. Very hard to time it just right. I too will pull my females to let them have their fry in peace and quiet. A 5 gallon will be fine ...make sure to have some dense plants in there for the fry to hide out in so mommy does not decide to enjoy some fresh sushi. I breed guppies and swordtails and platies and right now have 8x 20gal tanks full of fry. I just separated the females from the males to slow them down a bit until I can get some larger grow out tanks going. Please ask any questions you have I am here to help.

Planaria are very common in shrimp tanks. There are ways of getting rid of them but they involve the use of Fenbendazole which will ill off every snail in the tank and make it impossible to have any in the near future. I have done tons of reading on it and every solution comes back to Fenbendazole . The Fenbendazole will not harm the shrimp. I have spoken to bunches of shrimp keepers and while some have said MUST GET THEM OUT a lot of people have also said they just don't worry about them. The shrimp breed faster than any the Planaria could possibly kill so they just don't worry about it. I can say for certainty that I have seen a couple in my shrimp tank and while I do know that if you see one there are a bunch more you do not see....I have not witnesses any problem in my shrimp colony. Until I can find a way to eliminate them without killing off the snails im just watching and see what happens. If I start to see them winning over the shrimp...well then I may take drastic measures. Like I said I have done tons of reading ...please feel free to ask any questions!

@Guppysnail Not for nothing but have you considered just going by yourself. You doing what you like and him doing what he likes? My wife is constantly going places I really do not want to go and we made an agreement one day one that we would not make each other do anything the other doesn't want to. She want to go clothes shopping I don't want to....I want play time...she doesnt want to....she want to go to the nursery to pick out plants and I dont want to ...I want play time she doesn't want to....Over the years I have come to enjoy everything she wants to do...whoa wait...that woman has been training me!!! This is going to get ugly!

Mine love and I do mean love the BugBites for bottom feeders and Bugbites Algae Crisps. I will say that after researching heavily the bugbite line...I am really liking their foods and currently feed 5 different variety's of their food and everybody eats it from livebearers to corys to plecos, killis and flag fish...all love the stuff!
