  1. He must have eaten something during that time? Snails do sleep, and what you are showing is a common sleeping position that normally wouldn’t concern me. What type of food do you offer? And what types of foods do you have on hand? I know what air baths are but I do not have experience with them personally. It’s my understanding that the water quality is the most important thing. @Theplatymaster is on the right track asking parameters. Please provide: ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, gH, kH, temp One concern I have is that he is with a betta. Bettas often will bite at mystery snails antennae because they think they are worms. The snail may be afraid of the fish, and if that’s true he may continue to hide in his shell and starve. You can move the snail or the betta into a breeder box if you don’t have another tank and see if the snail will come out. If he comes out you will know he was scared, not sick.
  2. Welcome! Your tank looks awesome! Can’t tell by the photo but some pointers on the plants. Anubias and Java fern should not be put into the substrate; they have a rhizome and are water column feeders. Anything with a bulb (aponogetons, lilies, etc) should not be buried. The bulb will sit on the substrate and as it starts to grow it will reach its roots down and anchor itself. If the bulb is buried it will eventually rot. The Aponogeton Crispus and Java fern are doing well in my 29g. I use Easy Green and, for the Aponogeton Crispus I use Easy Root Tabs. In my 5.5g I have a lily like yours. It has begun to anchor itself. I will start it on the root tabs soon. Using a Hygger light on 24/7 cycle (which does not mean the light is on all the time- it just means it does a sunrise, daylight, moonlight, then shuts off. I did recently cut it back to 12hr to reduce algae. Waiting to see how it pans out)
  3. Hooray! Mystery snails do eat dead fish. Which is fortunate because it prevents an ammonia spike. @nabokovfan87 recommended this background to me. It hides algae very well. VELIMAX Static Cling Total... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07588J5Q6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I think it would look nice behind your scape. This is how it looks on my tank. You just need a spray bottle w/ water and a credit card (or something similar).
  4. I believe @xXInkedPhoenixX has a tank or two with all male guppies.
  5. Added a second sponge filter to the 10g. Found this trio this morning. Can you find all 3?
  6. You can always get all males @Katherine or move fry to the 75g. I think the kids would really enjoy the guppies!
  7. @Guppysnail! You’ve been summoned! 🤣
  8. Omg I’m ORD* 😍 _____ *Out of Reactions for the Day Very pretty!
  9. One time my parents’ dog seized an opportunity when my brother was packing his lunch. My brother stepped away to put on his shoes and the dog reached up and grabbed his sub off the counter. Knowing time was short, she raced under the computer desk and ate all the meat out of it before she got busted! Boy was he mad! 🤣
  10. I added the cholla wood and a little shrimplet was immediately interested.
  11. Good luck with that @nabokovfan87!!! 👃🏻💩
  12. I just realized I have two different … litters(?) of shrimplets. Wow! One is practically invisible (grain of sand) and the other (see cholla photo above) is pretty apparent. And this adult has eggs! Everything is happening so quickly!
  13. There’s a lot of betta threads in the disease section. Not just mine
  14. We can thank Reddit for this one.
