Once again you are suffering from endler iris and can’t photograph endlers. I have a theory, endlers are easy to photograph, they just emit a reality warping field that causes anyone who tries to photograph them to immediately regress in photography skills

Im also looking for a nice piece of rock/wood for the center. Screaming for a piece of manzanita/ghost wood or specifically pacific driftwood. The first two come in a large variety of decor ranges where some are more like branches and others are a bit larger and bulky. I get the feeling of a sunken log amongst the ocean/river floor. For nano fish, they like to swim through and around, so taller thinner branch shapes is best. Tumbleweed or desert bush style. (Look up an actual manzanita in it's natural habitat, like that) I really like what you have so far! Sidenote, wrong tag tag because it was a quote tag but you get the idea! My apologies. If it wasn't on mobile, I'd totally fix it. On 2/11/2023 at 9:18 AM, TheSwissAquarist said: Dwarf hairgrass, maybe with Val is the back and Anubias on the rocks? Hygro pinnatifida bushes! Microsword (or DHG) on the surface. They do have some stuff like crispus and Pogo Erectus that is a nice addition to the background texture as well. Short up front, very short stuff on the rocks like nana/petite or small buce and then just one or two striking things in the back.

Here’s the setup (minus fish): It’s already worked once, and I think that there were 100+ fry. I didn’t have the means to feed several times a day; so their numbers were whittled down to 12. I’ve moved theEndler juvies and (sub)adults to the 20 gal to give the shrimp in their previous tank a chance to make babies. For those who have been following my projects for some time: Remember that this colony started with 3 Endlers? Need to bring some new blood in… And I’m finally pleased with the 63 liter scape: just need to find a piece of the cheapest large piece of Spider Wood 🕷️ 🪵 for the middle. Maybe make it an Anubia tree?🤷♂️ Ending this update with a picture taken today with a trusty assistant 🐶:

TheSwissAquarist
Danios are in the box! I also went to a fish store today, (not my usual one) about an hours drive away, and they are my new favorite! No sick fish, no dead ones, a molly colony in the plant selection, and everything at a reasonable price. The guy who bagged up my fish (3 Endlers for the price of 2) scapes all the tanks. Some of his great ones: After a long search, I finally found a gang valve thing which is meant for acclimating several fish at a time. Could I use it to optimize my filters??

Answers: 1. Sometimes the eggs “spill” out of the spawning box, in which case they just fall into the bottom of the breeder. 2. They were in a 63 gal with lots of other fish, and this isn’t the next Mars mission, so… Finally finished the scape!

Theplatymaster
@TheSwissAquarist looks like a perfect scape for some corydoras, you can put epiphytes on the rocks and wood, and the corydoras can swim around in the open area up front. As for corydora stocking: Id got with standard albinos (aeneus). I feel like bronze, paleatus, and a lot of less common kinds would be hard to see on the grey substrate. Orange venezualens would stand out too, but ive heard they are more shy. Maybe also 1 kirb/apisto as a centerpeice fish, looks like there are some nice caves in there Edited February 14, 2023 by Theplatymaster
