Dancing Matt
I had duckweed in an outdoor pond that froze over this winter. Now that it has thawed out, some is still alive.
H.K.Luterman
I love duckweed! But I try to keep it out of my 40 breeder just for aesthetic reasons, and so far I've been successful for over a year now (I'm amazed!). If only I could keep it out of my hair and off the doorknobs. 1 3

Tanked
Does Algaecide kill Duckweed? I've been growing wild harvested duckweed on the window sill for possible use in the pond this year.

Minanora
Interesting read. I put it in my compost. I bet that's one of the reasons it does so well! I only have duckweed in one aquarium now. It's a love hate relationship. Lol. It gets everywhere!

After that I thought it was gone for about a year. In the last few months, a couple of surviving leaves suddenly grew into full cover on my 40 breeder. I'm glad I can cross off "so bad at plants, I killed duckweed" from my list of unachievements 😜
Patrick_G
So far I’ve only grown Duckweed outside for my goldfish pond, they love it.
