  1. Love it. Same here but I did pull a few dead leaves out and try my new aquarium coop test strips that were delivered today. Love those too.
  2. I had surprise babies last week. First time for me. Is it not just the coolest?!?
  3. When I had the same problem with a big piece of cypress in my old 55g I was able to tie monofilament/clear fishing line to a splinter on the bottom and then tie it off to a clear silicone suction cup from the hardware/big box store (after boiling clean). Scraped substrate out of way, got the suction cup tight to glass, smoothed gravel back and had no more floating probs. But note if you go this route it is pretty physical so best to lower the water volume enough it is less messy/splash the top swimmers out on accident, etc)
  4. The great Texas freeze 🥶 of 2021 that I thought for sure would wipe put my tank gave me Panda babies instead!! First successful spawn of my fishkeeping life and it was on accident but I am so happy. I give all the credit to nature and what I learned on the Aquarium Coop channel and blogs - for guiding me into planted tanks which I am sure helped them survive our five days without electricity (their water was 58 degrees when we got power back and I took the blankets off to “deal with the bodies” and found everyone alive on the bottom of the tank.) About a week ago I was throwing some food in there and something squiggled by the skull cave and I looked closer and it was a tiny panda cory! I freaked LOL. A week later there are two (that survived the predation - I had noticed a few weeks ago those harlequin rasboras were looking real real good....) My setup is 20g tall, pool filter sand substrate, java fern plants, Stingray Finnex light on an 8 hour timer, heater and an airstone. The tank is 14 months old and my six adult pandas were juveniles when I started the tank and reared together. My two babies are already swimming together and eating with the adults.
  5. I run top to bottom the ceramic bioballs and two sponges and keep my intake wrapped in filter pad that i change every 3 or 4 days. Works great for me
  6. Eric T. is 8 years old, working on his frosted face, and auditioning lap blankets while waiting for mommy to find something good on Netflix.
  7. Bill, these are awesome. I’m going to do my RDR2 themed tank one day and an Assassins Creed tank to merge my hobbies. Cant wait for those builds!!
  8. Liz, I love you are a new hobbyist and already have healthy live plants. Well done!! Here is a great aquascaping video you might enjoy. It taught me a lot 🙂
  9. Looks great! Our female betta Boot doesn’t tolerate shrimp in her 5 gallon. Nolan my male in the 20 g didnt mind them - not sure if it was tank size or just personality differences between my murderous lady and my big boy lol
  10. Such a cute kitty!! Maybe check out Jackson Galaxy the cat guru online - i feel like he absolutely would have some topic to cover that. Good luck!!
  11. Hey Bill - I am also from H town (NW side) 🙂 and J. Mantooth - well said and I feel exactly the same way.
  12. Hi Kendall! Beautiful stock - esp angelfish. Is that crypt lutea in the pot behind them?
