Awesome pictures Robert! Thanks for including them. -
Thank you so much for the detailed suggestions! I will definitely update this when I get a tank set up. Until then....my fish withdrawal only intensifies...

Nice. You'll get it eventually. If you don't have it try to get some Java moss in with them. Mine seemed to benefit from microorganisms I suspect they ate off it. With that added help I've been able to raise mine on exclusively Omega 1 frozen baby brine. Good luck- 482 replies

Thanks Pete. Least Killifish sound like fun. How easy would they be to find in the Seattle area?

I guess it would probably be "world building" in the sense of creating an environment comparable to the wild. I really enjoy creating biotope aquariums.

I'm moving and will be leaving all of my current tanks behind. At my new place probably the largest tank I'll be able to have is a ten gallon. Please hit me with any stocking ideas for a fun solo tank. I'm leaving 11 behind ☹️.

If you mean mixing the goldfish with those tetras and guppies I would not recommend it. They will probably end up as food for the goldfish. 2 goldfish with a sponge should be fine. Just make sure you monitor water parameters and keep up with your water changes. Good luck

Hello, I'm looking for advice on keeping German Blue Rams with Angelfish. I'm planning to put a pair of Rams with 4 Angels and a group of Corydoras in a 55. Do you think they should get along okay or would it be a thunderdome?

Awesome! You got to sneak in some bird shots. I've been filming some super low quality video of baby Cardinals that are fledging in my yard.

I would avoid doing too many water changes as I feel an excessive amount could be detrimental. I honestly didn't do any on my fry until I separated them. I would say it's a good idea to separate after a couple weeks as mine did cannibalize a significant number of fry when they spawned again. The only reason I didn't separate earlier was I wasn't sure whether to move the fry or adults. I think I'd recommend adults as they'd be less sensitive to the switch. Good luck!- 482 replies

Yeah Java fern will be fine removed. It will also do great if you just pull the plant off and let it float.

I would recommend you power feed the tank with live and frozen baby brine and frozen adult brine for the parents. That has been my most successful method for getting my ram parents to raise fry successfully. It also may just take a few more tries. Don't get discouraged if you wake up to find your cloud of fry has vanished. The nutrients the parents get from them will lead to then spawning again very soon.- 482 replies

Hello everyone. I'm August. I've been keeping fish for about 13 years since I was 5 years old. I currently have 11 tanks and a mini pond. My favorite fish is the German Blue Ram and I've had moderate success breeding them. I have been having issues with getting all female offspring, but I can't complain. I also have some very beautiful Phillipine Blue angels. I am moving to Seattle in the next month so I'm going to have to consolidate tanks quickly. I'm probably going to get it down to 3 tanks with my 40 breeder, a 20 high, and a 15. My dad will be caring for the tanks while I'm gone so I want to make care as easy as possible for him. I'm considering shipping a few fish like my Phillipine Blue angels, super red bristlenose, and best dark ram pair to Seattle but am not sure if that's worth the hassle. If anyone has thoughts on that I'd be glad to hear some opinions.

Oh my gosh the mudskippers look EPIC!

That's awesome Daniel. I'm assuming the tank is custom? What strains of Angelfish do you have in it currently. That setup sounds awesome! Thank you for sharing.

Awesome! Are Green Dragon Bristlenose from Greg Sage or do other sources exist?
