    yesterday night when i fed the fish they were fine and today morning I noticed they were dead. not sure what could be the cause but i noticed their tail fins were torn apart. is it something some other fish could have attacked them. I have guppies and tetras in the tank for lack of sufficient food or may be aggressive fish, i am trying to figure out i have the following in the community tank Guppies Neon Tetra Black Neon Orange Von Ember Silver tip any suggestions or recommendations to identify the cause

    i was going to order easy carbon to control the algae growth as a precautionary measure, but i have plants link java moss, Vallisneria and Anachris. if i apply easy carbon on 55 gallon and 40 gallon tank will it be suicidal to the plants. any experiences with same kind of plants.. please advice

    even i have run into this problem recently. thinking of attaching a thin layer of course sponge filter piece to it. not tried yet. will be trying this week end.

    based on reviews and video tutorials, it seems like lot of water will be wasted while gravel vaccuming using python hose, is there an alternate option without wasting much water as its precious. any recommendations.

    @Garren B thanks, keeping sponge is good idea, does this affect breeding or giving birth to live bearers? as water is constantly flowing and disturbing the water just curious

    my hang on back filter is flowing water fast is it ok for fishes like guppies and tetras . if i reduce the flow, i am worried about less water being filtered. my hang on back filter runs 24 hours a day. any suggestions or recommendations

    does plecos, tetras and guppies all eat replesha. after going through some videos i have ordered 6 ounce community plus. any experiences and suggestions can we mix flakes in them when we make it ?
