Oh, science note: I recall Cory mentioning in a video that when Java Moss is healthy the tips will turn bright green, i have recently read a scientific book on moss, and the bright green tips are the reproducing thingies of the moss.

Yes. That's new growth. I can show you the photos in my tank if you wish.

@TheSwissAquaristthe contest is on!:

bbsforcontest.jpg.5e1ac19a4b3f080f0acb608bc27d2493.jpg

its not in the picture (i added it after) but i am heating mine. I added at 8watt heater, which i surrounded with filter floss to prevent any plastic melting (ive heard stories) (8wats should be perfect for this container size). I have fed out some crushed Community Crave

( @nabokovfan87 i could not seperate the flakes they were too fine, will krill kill the BBS?).

so well see how this project goes.

also  new fish art, any guesses? (Not at all my best work).

@jwcarlson really like FD tubifex worms, and there were times the male wanted to spawn, the females didnt, i stuck a cube to the bottom, and then they actually started spawning.

Posting from phone issues trying to get rid of this quote lol

Got soaked up to the armpit, they seemed d happy even if the shrimp found it first.

This is also common on most plants.

lordoftherings.jpg.84a1837e59f5aa2d038a8775ed0d8851.jpg

the other books i want to read are An Aquarist's Journey by Rosario Lacorte, and The Tub Pond Handbook by Dr.Ted Colleti. (i dont think my local library has either, so ill need to buy them, and with the tub pond book, having it on hand whenever i need it will be very helpful.)

Those other books do not look like Fantasy or SciFi, what are you doing?! 🤣. What else do you normally read?

I am a fan of the Redwall series by Brian Jacques , and those are books about fish (if it wasnt obvious).

I am also a fan of the fantasy book I am writing right now.

36hours in and it sounds like im winning!

@TheSwissAquaristive been having some die-off but i think the fact that im using more water is helping me, i will get a water change done on there once i can find my booklight (im not organized at all)

ive realized that by turning my light down i have slowed the growth of the hair algae. to the point that its no longer annoying, so ill just leave the light down and start feeding the platies again.

Im really hoping for some platy fry soon, ive never actually documented how long it takes me to raise a platy, and i want to have that knowledge, also because i want fry from my "lets see what color varieties i can get" breeding project.

Home sick again 🤮, so unfollow the meme thread now before i start to spam it.

nothing else really happening, but ill be happy to make puns and jokes all day.

Why should you never let an aquatic plant be judge for a court case?

wait for it, wait for it,

Because they are anuBIASED!

Ironically the only one of my containers where the population hasn’t crashed is in a tissue culture cup. 😂

my population has pretty much crashed by now, ill have to try again next week.

crazy theory: the BBS are eating leftover plant residues from the culture plant

IDK?

Ouch. Does that mean I win, or do you think that we both get a second chance?

i think its not a last person standing contest, i think its a "whoever succeeds" contest, so i think we should both try again, because you wouldnt really be the Brine Shrimp master, you just kept them alive a few more hours then me,.
