Before the pandemic struck, I was starting to go out more out of the city, and was really enjoying it, especially since I had purchased a new camera and was starting to get my toes wet with photography. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do it lately, but I wish to do it all again soon.

These are some photos I've taken, of the Colorado River Delta reserve in Baja California, Mexico, and of Borrego Springs National Park in California. Love the desert, there's beauty in the sheer desolation and silence of it, you stand in complete silence in these mountains!

Thanks. That was my iPhone with the Osmo Mobile 3, not the Osmo Pocket. I leave the mini tripod attached to the gimbal.

Fun fact, Lake Champlain is home to the oldest known coral reefs. I think Isle La Motte, specifically, but there are reefs all around, and we are reminded of them when sailboat racing sometimes. Shouldn't have cut that corner around the island! 😉

The Chazy formation! I love Lake Champlain, family has a long history there. I even have a secret spot to find trilobite fossils on one of the Hero Islands.

I just got in to micro fishing(thanks YouTube for lumping all fish things into one category). I thought I would go out and give it a try with whatever I had fishing wise laying around. I live in rural Ar, so it's kind of mandatory that you own some kind of fishing equipment. Anyway, I wasn't that successful, but it was nice to be like a kid again wading up and down the creek just taking it all in and focusing intently on any small movements in the water.20200926_184108.jpg.dea8142b5cc5a85d3be5dcfc71d76957.jpg

We are enjoying a nice autumn day here in Vermont.

One of my schools is right on a brook, and I had never been back there to check it out, so I decided to go on an adventure!

And what an adventure it was! After I took this shot, I jumped over to a rock which had a lovely bit of algae on it. I spilled gracefully into the brook, slamming my phone on that rock, and walked proudly back to the school with wet jeans, a soaking sweatshirt, and a very lucky iPhone. I love you too, nature. 😉

October is garlic planting time. Found this little red belly snake (Storeria occipitomaculata) while putting the cloves in.

@Taylor Blake might know more about the ID if I am not right.

I believe that is actually a western worm snake (Carphophis vermis) they are  another species of small invertebrate eating snake.

the northern red belly snake (Storeria occipitomaculata) . they pretty common on the eastern half of the US and they eat worms, slugs, and small amphibians. They will also eat fish if they can catch them.

What state are you from?
