I was guessing Pandalus danae but the rostrum is a bit short and the eyes look different. Perhaps Mesocrangon munitella? I only noticed him because he moved and one of the krill was saying hello over and over. It is looking like Mesocrangon munitella, or Miniature Spinyhead shrimp, unless an expert like @Biotope Biologist can correct me if I am wrong. 🙃

It's been since college since I've seen shrimp and not prawns so I gotta whip out the ole dichotomous key. 1

eatyourpeas
I am still trying to find more information. He is a little stalker, though! Walks up to the juvenile sculpins and buries himself in waiting. He might be a very patient predator. 🤓
eatyourpeas
The Acrobat is sporting his new beautiful big body... minus a leg! Ursula's embrace was not deadly, but certainly crippling! 🤨
eatyourpeas
Ursula's poo... crab leg! Another molt: His current size. I think our playdates have come to an end with the size of those claws! He is now twice the size of the molt!
eatyourpeas
A day in the life. A new little guy just came out of an empty barnacle shell. No idea what kind he is, yet. The Acrobat sporting his asymmetric beauty, third leg down on the left side is missing: One of my trusted krill saying hello: 2
eatyourpeas
I love his red tail! This is Number-One, the oldest Tidepool sculpin (Oligocottus maculosus) in the tank.
eatyourpeas
I am very confused! I think this is a toxic relationship, but then again, what do I know about these critters! Came home to see The Acrobat's posterior right legs inside Ursula. I was sure he would've ended up badly injured. He came out of it unscathed... physically at least, although sure that would be the case emotionally. I found him later eating seaweed and no additional limbs missing. Go figure! 2

eatyourpeas
No drama in the box today! Water change today, so I brought in some sea water and cleaned some of the diatoms on the glass. Left one side for the critters to eat as they love them! Water still not totally clear, still waiting for the microorganisms to establish themselves. It is month two of the tank running, parameters are perfect, critters growing. Sump had about a half teaspoon of organic sediment which is a great sign in terms of filtration. Added the new background, yay! I wish I had found some more macro as the one in the tank is looking a little tired. Next time. Please excuse the reflections. Got a hitchhiker in the seawater: a magnificent Krill dude with a red nose!

eatyourpeas
After coffee number three, set out to place everything in the tank. No critters, just veggies. Critters in the tank are quite happy, except for Ursula Flerken, who started the day sulky... 2
