  1. You can use metroplex without focus but focus helps to reduce loss of medication to the water through diffusion metroplex treats Hexamita less effective against ich if you suspect internal parasites i would treat with prazipro once every two weeks for three full courses of treatment so you would treat on week 1 week 3 week 5
  2. Another case of stupid autocorrect
  3. Possibly injured its swim bladder or has some internal injuries from a fall from that hight not a lot treatment wise i could suggest I would just monitor for next week and add some aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallon for two weeks and give an update if it get worse
  4. Looking at the pictures it could be a bacterial infection with possible secondary fungal infections what I would do is a course of jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone @KnoxicWaste
  5. I wouldn't go above one table spoon for 5 gallons with pictus catfish in the picture the spots looked raised if they are raised you could be dealing with epistylis that feeds off of gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at higher temperatures the most effective treatment is a combination of malachite green active ingredient in ick X and maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days if there not raised keep treating with ick X and small amount of aquarium salt
  6. With paracleanse you want to do three full course of treatment on week 1 week 3 and week 5 you could add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes
  7. I don't think it will have much of an effect on your pH your KH is high enough when I have used them I have noticed only a slight change from 7.0 to -6.8 in my pH
  8. I would add one leaf per gallon and the salt you can start at 1 table spoon for 3 gallons and gradually increased over a couple of days
  9. Looks like saprolegniasa it's a water mold best treatment is malachite green active ingredient in ick X and salt 1 table spoon for 2.5 gallons it does have a high mortality rate even with treatment@Zodiak246
  10. What your describing could be over production of the slime coat due to ammonia or it could have a bacterial component what I would do is add aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons and add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect and monitor for a week if you notice him getting worse then i would do a course of kanaplex @MidnightBel
  11. The one that's underweight I would treat with expel p just in case there's an underlying parasitic infection am struggling to see a tumor on your other fish some lumps can be caused by a bacterial infections so I would do a course of maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline also has anti-inflammatory properties @Fish Enthusiast
  12. Your water parameters look fine What are you feeding and how often do you use a water dechlorinator like prime when doing water changes any flashing loss of appetite do you have live or plastic plants @TheChunkyFish
  13. @Odd Duckmight have some more information about fluconazole effectiveness at treating fungal infections in fish
  14. What I would do is three course of paracleanse two weeks apart with the violent flashing you described just to rule out a parasitic infection
  15. The active ingredient fluconazole is an antifungal treatment I have never used so I couldn't say how effective it would be
  16. I would keep stable water parameters add the almond leaves the more the better and just monitor as long as you see him continue to improve I wouldn't do another course of erythromycin unless he starts to get worse
  17. Any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy loss of appetite weight loss
  18. With the pineconing that can be caused by a number of things such as organ failure parasitic infection internal bacterial infection I would leave salt at that level will help reduce fluid buildup and do a course of metroplex in food feeding a small amount twice a day for upto 3 weeks I would get holed of kanaplex it's a more broad spectrum antibiotic treatment it can be harmful to shrimp causes them to slow down i would remove the shrimp or quarantine your betta if your going use it @Corey Sharp
  19. If none of your other has symptoms I would just monitor for now treat if you start to see symptoms
  20. I colony breed my bristlenose so there's plenty of wood in the tank with biofilm I feed the fry the same food the adults get tropical hi-aglae discs tropical pleco tablets EBo youngster grow paste and artemia paste EBo veg sticks and EBo spirulina tabs sak spirulina pellets blanched spinach and lettuce cucumber I raise about 2000 bristlenose a year for last 20+ years with this method most important thing is stable water parameters no ammonia or nitrite that can cause a die off as the fry are sensitive at first and good quality food that's readily available for the fry to constantly gaze on @Jackholder23
  21. Kanaplex in food isn't effective as it's poorly absorbed by the intestinal tract so not much of the medication makes it into the blood stream maracyn2 is effective antibiotic treatment in food if your sure it was epistylis I would just monitor your other fish if they start to show symptoms I would lower temperature as epistylis spreads more quickly at higher temperatures and feeds off of the gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish I would do daily treatments of ick X and do a course of maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days
  22. With the symptoms and fact he never fully recovered even with treatment it's more than likely a permanent injury to the swim bladder
  23. Can you take a picture of the spots if possible it Will help with a diagnosis
  24. Liverbears like guppies do best with pH 7.0-8.0 KH between 70-140ppm and GH of 100-140ppm if your KH and GH are to low this can cause alot of health problems in Guppies you say nitrite are almost zero even a small amount of nitrite is harmful to you fish I would get an API liquid KH and GH test what's your ammonia and pH
  25. Sorry to hear he didn't make it you did all you could for him
