  1. With raised white spot could be epistylis that feeds off of gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at temperatures over 75°F what your describing with the mouth could be a secondary fungal infection most effective treatment would be maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days and treat the tank with ick x @KaitieG
  2. That just looks like scales that have a metallic colour it's no uncommon for Bettas to change colour as they get olderI don't think that's anything to worry and doesn't need treatment
  3. Am struggling to see any white spots in the picture do the mean the metallic scales on the head @MRCABDRIVER
  4. Something off with your Tetra's behaviour but I don't think it's caused by swim bladder have you notice any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy spitting food out sunken belly white stringy poop
  5. Could be a cataract or an injury to eye in both cases I would just monitor for the next week if it get worse give us an update
  6. That could be were it's rub against something in the tank I would just monitor for now
  7. @mountaintoppufferkeeper might have some suggestions
  8. First course will kill the most of the parasite in your fish a small percentage will survive the initial treatment that why it's necessary to do multiple treatments also eggs that are already present in your tank can reinfect your fish moving your fish to another tank after the firsts course of paracleanse wouldn't guarantee that your fish are parasite free
  9. What are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH GH temperature have you noticed any aggression between the cichlids that could be damaging the fins any Reddening to the edges of the fins
  10. You could also add some crushed coral to raise your KH you would need 1pound of crushed coral per 10 gallons you can add it to your substrate
  11. You could start breeding Mollies some get 5in they would be better choice to use for feeders for bigger fish
  12. I think it would be safer to start a your own colony of feeder guppies or platys quarantine and deworm and have a sustainable supply of healthy feeder fish
  13. Light patches like this can be caused by columnaris that's a gram negative bacterial infections that spreads more rapidly at higher temperatures and can kill in 24hr to 7days for the cold water stains the most effective treatment is a combination of kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone following this treatment plan
  14. The problem is every time you do a water change your adding ammonia back in I wouldn't clean the side or back glass and leave the mulm don't clean your filter to often only clear the filter pads in bucket of tank water if you can get room for a bin or tote to pretreat your water for a couple of days before a water change that would be best add more plants the spot I would just monitor for now it could be sand stuck to its side @tetra
  15. The problem with feeding feeder fish is the chance of introducing parasites or pathogens
  16. When small I would feed Hikari carnivore pellets frozen mysis shrimp blood worms white mosquito larvae as they grow I would offer prawns earthworms white bait silversides @JosiahBass
  17. They do look very similar to orange lemon tetra looking at pictures if you had two species they would be closes match in terms of colour and body shape
  18. On aquarium Glaser it's says the males grow larger than the females and have enlarged fins so if you have full grow mzuel tetras it should be easier to sex them
  19. Usually when it's affecting both eyes it's caused by a bacterial infections it can also be caused by a growth behind the eye less likely to be an injury with both eyes affected I would quarantine if you can and treat with aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will help reduce the swelling in the eyes and do a course of kanaplex @DoTheNeedful
  20. epsom salt containing 100% magnesium sulfate is fine he could have cut his dorsal fin on the plastic plants they can be Sharpe i would monitor the fin while treating with epsom salt if you notice any Reddening to the edges of the fins or his fins start to recede then i would start to treat with kanaplex
  21. You can add purigen back in between treatments or just leave it running with bio media and sponge
  22. If there's nothing damaging his fin it could be fin rot am not seeing any Reddening to edges of the fins I would do a course of kanaplex add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes and add an extra air stone during treatment
  23. I use biohome ultimate in my oase 350 thermo the plastic media it comes with is for moving filter beds I would change out the blue pad that comes with the prefilter use the more coarse orange ones blue prefilter pad gets blocked a lot quicker I do have a lot of messy bristlenose in that tank
  24. Looks like an injury with possible secondary bacterial infections if your water parameters are fine no ammonia nitrite low nitrate pH KH GH in range for guppies I would quarantine and treat with kanaplex and some aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 3 gallons add an extra air stone during treatment @Augustjd27
  25. Little more information would be helpful what are your water parameters ammonia nitrite nitrate pH KH and GH temperature a side on view to get a better look at the fins if possible
