  1. if you want to mix endlers with guppies, my way is to go with male endlers, and female guppies.
  2. pearling is a good thing, however pearling right after a water change typically means you just added oxygen rich water. not a bad thing, not anything especially great either.
  3. my favorite is some old emperor magnum something or anothers. idk 2 of them going on 25 years with no break downs.
  4. if the edges of the silicone are lifting from the glass, its done for. time to reseal or get rid of it.
  5. i tend to agree it is some sort of danio.
  6. java ferns and anubias are fairly slow growers, and require not a whole bunch of light. if your crypts are showing growth, you have plenty of light for the others.
  7. it can happen at moderate light levels. you are seeing it grow at the tops of the plants nearest your lights. its always a challenge to find the fine line between enough light and nutrients to grow plants nicely, and growing unwanted algaes. your plants look nice other than the bba, i might try going down to 7hrs light a day for a while and see if that helps moderate it.
  8. if nancy reagan had went with that for her motto, it might have worked.😎
  9. a couple handfuls of crushed coral in the tank will do good things, and is fairly stable.
  10. the old white pump head works great, the newer black one looks great, doesnt work as well.
  11. i agree with the above, and would also add that a nerite snail would greatly help with brown algae.
  12. agree'd, not ich. ich looks like you sprinkled salt on a fish.
  13. i think where you now see the yellowing on the anubia leaves is from where the BBA was attached to it. not much can be done about that as the BBA causes damage to the leaves under where it is.
  14. oh boyyy, when you said be very careful when adding water i was waiting to hear you dumped water in and it splashed into your mouth.😱
  15. my own personal favorite the last few years are dragon guppy's.
  16. i say its the wood. it can take a while, but give it some time and just do things normally. over the course of many water changes, the tank will get less and less color from the wood.
  17. if you have less than desireable lines in those few guppies, i myself would find a new trio that really catches your eye, and start over with them.
  18. if you use a syphon type gravel vac, just use a white bucket. that way if a shrimp gets sucked up you can see it and net it out of the bucket.
  19. cant help much with the stem plants, as i kill them quickly, but the sword in the top picture is nutrient starved. maybe try some root tabs as the swords are heavy root feeders.
  20. since mid september, so its still not real mature, so things will keep getting better with it, and when you add plants, they will do many good things for you.
