  1. Directions.....ha! The probes were about 6 inches apart. I've never had any problems before (they's been that way for at least a year) Now the suction cups are touching each other so hopefully that's the problem. You all are the best!
  2. Mine are the ITC306A model. It switched off again last night (no power problems) so there might be something wrong with it. I’m going to move the temp probs around a bit today, but if it alarms again, I’ll change it out. I moved the Coop heater to a regular outlet.
  3. I use an Inkbird to manage the two heaters in my aquarium. I was just gone for 3 days and read on FB that the power was out for about 15 minutes the morning after I left. When I got home today, my thermometer read 63 degrees and the Inkbird was flashing E4. I’m assuming it never came back on after the power outage so the heaters didn’t come back on either. Luckily, my fish are all OK and the temp is very slowly coming up. I have a back up plan in case my power goes out for an extended period of time when I’m home-(during the cold MN winter is my big concern) I guess I never thought about it happening like this. One of the heaters is a Coop heater with backup-but I don’t think the Inkbird let it do its job. I guess I will take the Coop heater off the Inkbird and keep it seperate so this doesn’t happen again. Any thoughts? I honestly thought the Inkbird would just come back on when the power came back up.
  4. This looks like so much fun! There was a big expo here in Minneapolis a month or so ago and I couldn't make it. It sounded great with tons of different venders and I heard that they are already planning for next year.
  5. I just placed an order this afternoon (like 2 hrs ago) and it's already been packed and shipped (well, a tracking number was provided-likely not out the door yet). Where else can you get service like that? I'm amazed every single time I order from them....
  6. Aquarium Coop has several “flavors” of Repashy.
  7. Mine seem to eat almost anything. They especially love Repashy Soilent Green, Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets and Hikari Algae Wafers. They clean up almost every bit of food that lands on the bottom of the aquarium.
  8. I have a huge closet off my dining room-it’s mostly full of aquarium stuff…..I don’t know where I would put it otherwise🙄
  9. You will love the tubing-it’s so much better than the others I tried in the past. It stays soft and pliable-some of the other black tubing I have gets stiff and brittle.
  10. I like to keep few extra sponge filters going in my aquarium (as room allows) so I have an extra seasoned one ready to go in case I have new fish or sick fish that need to go into the quarantine tank.
  11. Just "Name of school" Fish Club (yeah, I know, boring 🙂 )
  12. I would much rather buy locally-we had a pet store in town many years ago and I was so sad when she closed-she had a pretty good aquarium section. All the useful shops are closing their doors here and are being replaced with "occasional" shops-expensive knick knack shops that are only open one weekend a month. I get the drill bit situation-I can't tell you how many sets I have! I use the smaller bits the most and they either break or get lost 🙂
  13. You have 27 tanks?! Gives me something to shoot for 🙂. Since my hubby passed a few years ago, I rarely use the living room for anything other than my aquarium and some plants. Might be time to get rid of that couch and make some room-I have lots of ideas!!!
  14. I use Amazon quite a bit because I live in the boonies and it's easy. I must be lucky because one of their warehouses is in Minneapolis (not too far) and I frequently get stuff the same day or the next day at no extra charge beyond my Prime. That said, do I really need it that fast? Sometimes (OK, rarely, but I'm impatient 🙂 ) and the choices in my small town are very limited and I usually don't feel like driving into the "city". Example-I "needed" some black aquarium gravel earlier this week (no, it wasn't an emergency but I wanted to get my project done before going out of town next week). I went to Petsmart ( the only local pet store we have-it's 15 mi away so not too far) and they had no black gravel-lots of hot pink and purple, though. I checked 2 Walmart stores with no luck which are about my only options, so yes I did order the gravel from Amazon and it was here the next day (60# in one cardboard box-I'm sure the driver was swearing at me) All my Amazon deliveries come via Amazon vehicles-though they did used to use privately owned cars to deliver around here as well, which was weird. All in all, I think all my delivery folks/services do a pretty good job. I buy things from a lot of different places and it seems like the different sellers are to blame a lot of the time when things are running late. I just ordered some stuff from the Coop on Wed and it was delivered this am by my mailman-can't beat that ! One other comment about Amazon is that the Prime price is going up-it will be $139 for me to renew, the "free" shipping was well worth it for me when it was $89/year, but I'm going to have to think about the $139......
  15. Thank you! I just ordered this kit this morning and it should arrive in a few days (I love Amazon...). It seems to be working well this morning-good water flow and the fish all seem happy.
