  1. 2 or 3 more females, or 1-2 less males.
  2. i honestly couldnt tell you what fertilizer. just have some nutrients in the water, and crank the lights. lots of light is the prime grower of BBA, but it has to have some nutrients to go with it.
  3. sometimes you just need to step away. nothing wrong with that, we all do it in our own way.
  4. lots of hours of high intensity light, and a splash of fertilizer.
  5. good thing is, if you look around you can usually find used 10 gal tanks for free. for lights, id head to the local homedepot/lowes/menards, and look at cheap led shop lights.

  7. my own thoughts on pine etc not harming anything in lakes and rivers vs an aquarium is that there is such a vast quantity of water in a lake/river vs an aquarium so that acids from sap are not diluted in an aquarium.
  8. to me, pandas seem to be the cory that uses the most of a tank. ive had them that just loved to swim loops through a bubble wall.
  9. most goldfish do fine somewhere between freezing temps, and low 80's. they are a cool water fish.

  12. oh yeah, german shepherds can be quite spendy. i like they listed mature weights, and see how they've changed over the years due to breeding. 60-85#. its rare to find a male shep now days that wont break 100#, even my female is 90, and she is not fat.
  13. anubia roots, do like to be rooted in substrate. it is normal. i have bunches of them glued on logs, and the roots will go a long ways to get in the substrate.
  14. most heaters are not super reliable. i personally dont trust them to not cook fish.
  15. welcome to the forum. if the fish is sick, head down to the disease subforum. someone will most likely be able to lend a hand.
  16. mopani will stay down. it is a very dense wood. lots of woods need a good soak, not mopani, it goes down and stays there.
  17. id toss it, plenty of tannins left in that wood.
  18. mine grow them now and then. my bn plecos love to eat the center out of them.
  19. its typically that they can hold for 4 batches, but ya know nature, it isnt exactly consistant.
  20. welcome to the forum. sorry cant help you with store hours.
  21. i use a dremel to trim that stuff to fit. that stuff is tough to hand cut, well hand cut and not look like you were having a seizure when doing so.
