I have 7 rainbow fish, 10 neons, 4 bumblebee platys, 1 gold dust Molly, 3 plecos, 1 angelfish, 1 betta, 2 nerite snails, 5 panda corys, 1 episto, and a powder blue gourami. My tank is HEAVILY planted. I would say my tank is at capacity, given they’re all going to grow- even so, IF I feel the tank seems to be shrinking- THAT means I get to buy the 125 I’ve always wanted!but I doubt it- if I exceed what I’ve got now, I’d definitely be pushing my carrying capacity. I have them in a 40-breeder, two HOB filters plus a box filter with a nice air stone. I’m filtering my tank more than 11 times in 1 hour. Personally, I think my population is right where it needs to be. I’m going to throw it out there and say for your capacity- you’re underpopulated- meaning I think you can have much more. I’m not opposed to water changes- so it doesn’t bother me. Water change day is when the plants in the house get watered. Enjoy!

Yes- I’ve got a 40-breeder- planted- Got a half moon betta, a gold dust Molly, 5 panda Cory’s, about 11 neons, 7 rainbows, 4 bumblebee platys, 2 plecos, 2 nerite snails- and a powder blue gouramie. Got some Cabomba headed my way- I’ll use that to fill in the plant gaps- I use a fluval HOB filter- rolled w a sponge, filter floss, and ceramic for that one- got another one from the old 20 gallon that broke- that one does 80 gallons an hour so I’ll take it- that has the filter floss and ceramic rings- then I’ve got a box filter just to have one that runs on air- I put filter floss, sponge- and ceramic. Zero chemical filtration- 3 forms of filtration- it’s my only community tank- I have a 5 gallon as a standby- not sure what to put in it though- I moved the betta over to the 40 fun house-

Yeah, I got a 40 gallon aquarium for Christmas- used media from my 5 gallon betta fish tank to cycle the water, tank, etc. I also used safe start. The Beta is the only fish in the aquarium accompanied by two snails. I’ve been trying to get fish since Sunday, but everybody has either been closed or closing early because of the weather. Their store says their hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM today, but I don’t want to drive out there after work only to find out they closed at three because of the weather. I get off work at five. I want to populate my tank. 😄😄😄😄

Hello everyone!!! New here, new to fish keeping- but I’m trying to figure out if the co-op is closing due to the weather or closing at 7 as it says on the interwebz. Just discovered you folks on YouTube and watched a TON of the videos- never realized you’re local to ME! SO: what time are you folks closing today??? Why can’t anyone call the store? Lol!
