Hygrophila Polysperma

Ludwigia Repens

Ludwigia Ovalis

Limnophila Arimatica

Any Crypt, I like Lucens for a mid or foreground

Hygrophila Serphyllum carpet

African water fern

Hygrophila Pinatiffida (grows better as an epiphyte)

All these will do well with no co2.

I forgot,.most Rotala should do well also.

Thanks so much! What’s your personal favorite, out of intérest?

Arimatica but the mini version. And Serphyllum.

Hygrophilia Serphllum?

I’m trying to find some Anubias Horizontifolia to make some sort of ‘fish hammock’ which I can take pictures of them on. 😅 I doubt that it’ll work.

Baby Corys are 1.5 weeks old!!! Do you guys think I should start introducing them to flake food?

@Colu

It could be a fluid filled cyst or a tumor Frist I would treat with aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 1 gallon the salt will help reduce the fluid buildup if it's a cyst  and maracyn2 as the active ingredient minocycline has anti-inflammatory properties if it's a tumor you would have to go to a vet and have it removed

3 new Endlers males to boost the gene pool, 10 glowlight tetras (new species for me!!) as betta tank mates and a nerite snail to help with algae. Party all round!

I originally went in just to get some Sera micron…and saw some tetras…and their colors…and fell in love! There sadly weren’t any albino Corydoras for my next project….231350D5-E4EE-412F-B0FB-35713F13E0FA.jpeg.52e2b3a384e514e11f8790774c22743e.jpeg

Hey Swiss!  We need an update on all your new fishes! 🙏

Yes! Sorry, it’s the exam fortnight. My tanks are getting a bit neglected, Vals going wild, etc…

New fish are all doing fine thanks! My glowlight tetras are a tad skittish, but dazzling. I think that I’m even beginning to see some flaring between males. DEF6EC0B-A413-4CE7-B2BC-53624ABDA328.jpeg.ccb2f84e653b3bf98559a445b234809d.jpeg
I also gave my overcrowded Endler tank a deep clean (by deep I mean I spent too much time admiring and not enough time cleaning). Definitely needs thinning out. Who wants gold Endlers? 6D430AC2-BCBF-4B88-9DE7-6C8F13624B86.jpeg.19d4df369f2b23f1071d5ae6027326e4.jpeg

My dad has also built a water-catchment system in the garden, which provides 1000 liters of water in case of drought (264 gallons).  it’s basically a section of roof with some roof tiles on a slope which leads down to some guttering, which in turn leads down to 2 (leaky!) water butts. Seeing as it weighs 1.7 metric tons, the roof tiles we balanced on cracked during a rain storm this morning. 😂 My dad and I were just waiting for the entire thing to come down!

I need to do a longer update on my latest projects (danios and tubs), but it’s 2100 here and I have an Italian oral exam in the morning.
Have a nice day/morning/good night!

Thanks for the update!  Good luck on exams!  You got this!  👊

Exam results are in! I passed everything apart from my French text analysis oral exam… a subject which has great relevance in the modern world 😂!

Split up an Anubias today, and bought 2 buckets for breeding purposes. Either shrimp or corydoras…ideas?

Duplicareus? I'm even a fan of something like trilineatus that don't get enough appreciation. They are one of the species that take a while for the pattern to really be appreciated, but they are at just about every big box fish store you can imagine.

Shrimp..... Depends if you want to go the active substrate route or not and what might make sense for your area. There are some really unique stuff I see when searching the German shrimp stores.

Milkdud.

He’s back to normal, even though I can still see a small welt…salt works wonders.

My « pond «  project: I checked Wikipedia for the average annual temperatures for each month in my town, and realistically I would only be able to do a patio pond from early July to mid 532B3505-A3AE-452A-B128-0A58729B5C79.jpeg.ab64962801ea3f708299d22ad8dfb873.jpegSeptember before I’d have to take it down again. 2 and a half months isn’t ideal, as is my 4500 foot altitude! So I’ve got two 23 liter buckets ( 6 gallons )

I’ve also designed a sort of filtration system for it…or at least a way to keep the water from going stagnant. It works a bit like a a sponge filter, with the air pulling the water up the tube (so long as the tube is facing upwards). Add an old filter sponge with a piece of fishing wire to hold it on… and hey presto! 1D9730EF-7393-4F12-B8B1-3C6DB3E54E13.jpeg.5fda9945438c0c870a975296ddc9eb7e.jpeg2C4B2E96-C0F7-4154-8216-0533AB9568C2.jpeg.1ba509f6c1debcfceb53460687b6ff3b.jpeg

Ideally the tube (cut to size) would be attached to a bamboo cane poking vertically out of the bucket by the means of those plastic binders thingys. A spray bar will also be added.

I’m still quite pleased that the exams are over. 😅 Bring it on summer!
