It's kinda tough but we can't keep 'em all, I guess.  Where are they going next?

These go to two of my friends. That’s why I feel good about it. They will not only be well cared for but they will be loved as family 🥰

What do you guys think…backlit or not?  Everything is so full it’s not getting enough light. I can’t trim or even remove duckweed. I found out the hard way (thankfully no casualties) the duckweed roots are polluted with least killi fry.

This is why I tell folks CPD are not the best choice for a 5 gallon tank. Yes the fit and will survive but their personality and activity do not fit. This is a 40 breeder. Not an inch wasted.

See, and I thought they would be good for a small tank due to their size, but I've seen a few posts now indicating aggression. (The shrimps swimming around are adorable.  The one at :14 is a character, going across the whole tank.  Loves the spotlight!)

Is this the last day for the snails?  I cannot believe how BIG they are!

No. I’m actually going  to wait until next week. That’s better for my friends.

With the backlit tank I feel like I could keep going forever. The second one definitely shows a finite landscape. I can see Bilbo going to another land in the first one, as if he is on a ridge and adventures await once he starts descending.

There is nothing but milk in my coffee! 🤪

Two more surprise new fish coming late next week. Not ones I see often but not very rare either. One doesn’t eat commercial food and my new live food adventure gave me the opportunity to get these.

Im taking down the funny tank (again 🙄) and setting up a 20 high.

Thought I’d share how I upgrade tanks.

I take plants (big box Java fern and Anubias work lovely as fillers until other plants grow in) and drop them in established tanks along with new media for new filters. Looks awful but works great. I’ll use the media from the hob as well.  Everything from shrimptopia including sponges will temporarily go into the new tank. I’m scavenging a huge wad of guppy grass also.

My Dr Seuss tree was another failure for the third time. I admit defeat. So I’m using the Riccia in the new tank as a floating mat type thing. My new kids don’t like bright light.

HAPPY ADVENTURES… TRY SOMETHING NEW

But I thought the Dr. Seuss tree looked good!

So did I but my shrimp have ideas that it is their sole mission in life to detach the moss. I may try a different moss I’m considering phoenix or us fox but I think I’ll have the same issue. I might try hookeri (so?)

Will you offer them a side dish of yummy moss though?

They have their own stinking log. 7 inches of mopani covered in Xmas moss and a shrimp cave moss covered. The tiny terrorists consistently destroy my Dr Seuss tree to spite me. Terrorist attacks I say! 🤣
